No charge. Surprise households using the electronic household hazardous waste pickup. The city publishes no per item fee for the appointment, which is scheduled separately from the other hazardous waste pickup and runs from February through November.

Schedule the electronic pickup through the My Surprise app or Customer Service during the February to November season, then place the packaged items on the driveway against the garage by 6 a.m. on the appointment date.

Pack each item labeled and secured in a box no larger than sixteen by sixteen by twelve inches, with no more than four boxes per household, label the boxes for the collection team and wipe personal data from the device. Flat screen televisions, computers and cell phones are accepted, while box televisions, regular refuse, tires and radioactive or bio medical material are refused.

A computer monitor is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Choose the actual devices and quantities to see your combined price online. A separate desktop tower and monitor are separate items. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; review the total and any applicable tax before payment.
Can you pick up old electronics today in Surprise?+
Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates shown at checkout and have the prepared items outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done. The booking is for a day, not an exact arrival time.
Does computer removal include my monitor and printer?+
Desktop computer covers one tower or one all-in-one computer. Add a separate monitor, printer or laptop as its own item if it is going too. For small devices, cables and chargers together, choose Box of electronics and check the description before booking.
Do you erase data from old computers?+
Data erasure and certified data destruction are not included in Dropcurb removal. Back up the information you need, then follow the manufacturer’s sign-out and reset instructions before pickup. If a device cannot be erased or contains sensitive business information, arrange suitable data handling before giving it away. How do I get rid of a couch or a mattress in Surprise?+
A couch is a household item and rides the free bulk trash pile, inside the ten cubic yard pickup limit and the twenty cubic yard annual allowance, placed against the gutter at least ten feet from any fixed object. Are appliances collected with the bulk pile?+
No, they need their own appointment. Stoves, washers, dryers, refrigerators, trash compactors, air conditioners and empty water heaters are removed by appointment for a published per pickup charge billed to the utility account, and the bulk crew will not take one without that appointment.Official guidance
How do paint and chemicals leave a Surprise home?+
By a driveway pickup scheduled from February through November, with the electronic items scheduled separately. Yes. Garbage and recycling are collected on the same day each week and both cans go out by 6 a.m., while the city's drop off recycling services are suspended after a fire at the hauler's recycling facility, so residents are asked to keep using the blue curbside can until the department says otherwise.Official guidance
What does Surprise refuse in the bulk pile?+
Household garbage and food waste, branches over four feet, construction or demolition debris of twenty five pounds or more or longer than four feet and any contractor debris, dirt, rocks, concrete, blocks, bricks, roofing material, metal or car parts over twenty five pounds or longer than four feet, glass such as windows and mirrors, batteries and hazardous materials.
