You do not need a whole house of junk. Select the bags, boxes and larger items you actually have. Your combined price is shown online.
You want to know it is handled.
When the next collection does not fit your plans, choose a Dropcurb pickup day. Updates keep you informed, and completion photos show when the booked items are gone.
A few simple choices turn a mixed pile into a clear booking. No need to estimate how much of a truck it might fill.
Filled bags and boxes
Count each trash bag or filled household box. Books and media go by the box. Clothes, bedding and shoes go by the filled bag. Toys packed together have a Box of toys choice. Ask us about unusually heavy or oversized bags and boxes first.
Empty cardboard and containers
Empty cardboard is a different choice: choose single empty boxes or tied bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Compacted bales have their own weight-based choices and require loading-dock access. A Storage bin choice covers the empty bin itself; ask us to confirm the contents if they are going too.
Furniture and other larger items
Add the actual larger item alongside your bags and boxes, such as a sofa, chair or mattress. It has its own price and preparation. Keep construction materials and items needing special handling out of ordinary household bags.

Household items and yard debris that will not fit in the can are collected as bulk trash on the household's scheduled day, with a ten cubic yard limit per pickup and twenty cubic yards a year at no additional charge.
City cost & eligibility
No charge. Residents served by the City of Surprise Solid Waste Department, with ten cubic yards allowed per pickup and twenty cubic yards per year at no additional charge. Appliances, dirt, rocks, concrete, blocks, bricks, roofing material, batteries and hazardous materials are not part of the free bulk pile.
When & how
Set the pile out before 6 a.m. on the collection day, and it may go out the weekend before the scheduled date. The pile is collected on the household's bulk day rather than on a separate appointment.
Get it ready
Place the material in the street against the curb or gutter in front of the property, not on the sidewalk or on private property, keep it at least ten feet from poles, cars, fences and any other fixed object, and keep it off arterial and collector roads. Break down and stack empty cardboard, bag large quantities of small items such as clothing or toys, cut tree branches and large items into four foot sections, bag or box loose grass, leaves and small yard debris, and put cacti in sturdy cardboard boxes.
Appliances are removed by appointment for a published per pickup charge that appears on the next utility bill, and the crew will not take a cooling unit out of the bulk pile without that appointment.
City cost & eligibility
$21 for the published charge of $21 per appliance pickup, billed on the next city utility bill. Surprise residents served by the city Solid Waste Department, with the appointment booked through Customer Service. Accepted units are stoves, washers, dryers, refrigerators, trash compactors, air conditioners and empty water heaters.
When & how
Call Customer Service to book the appliance pickup, then set the unit out for the scheduled day rather than adding it to the bulk pile, because the bulk crew will not take an appliance without an appointment.
Get it ready
Empty the unit, secure or remove the doors, and drain or empty a water heater before the pickup. Keep the appliance out of the ordinary garbage can, and remember that batteries and hazardous materials are refused on this route as well.
Furniture rides the free bulk trash route as a household item, inside the same ten cubic yard pickup limit and the twenty cubic yard annual allowance.
City cost & eligibility
No charge. Surprise households served by the city Solid Waste Department, with furniture counted inside the ten cubic yard per pickup and twenty cubic yard per year bulk allowance.
When & how
Put the piece in the bulk pile for the scheduled collection day, out before 6 a.m. and no earlier than the weekend before.
Get it ready
Keep the piece whole and stack it neatly in the street against the gutter, cut anything longer than four feet into shorter sections, and keep glass, batteries, hazardous material and contractor debris out of the pile.
Only small construction and demolition pieces go in the bulk pile: under twenty five pounds and under four feet. Anything larger, or any contractor debris, has to go through a private hauler.
City cost & eligibility
The city publishes no collection charge for the small pieces that are accepted in the bulk pile and refuses everything larger, so confirm with the department and price the private hauler route for the rest.
When & how
Put accepted small pieces in the bulk pile on the collection day, and arrange a private hauler for a larger project load before the work starts.
Get it ready
Keep every piece under twenty five pounds and under four feet in length, keep dirt, rocks, concrete, blocks, bricks and roofing materials out of the pile entirely because the city refuses them and directs them to a private hauler, and keep contractor generated debris out of the residential route.
Yard debris rides the free bulk trash route, with branches cut to four foot sections and loose grass or leaves bagged or boxed because loose small yard debris is not collected.
City cost & eligibility
No charge. Surprise households served by the city Solid Waste Department, with yard debris counted inside the ten cubic yard per pickup and twenty cubic yard per year bulk allowance.
When & how
Set the yard material out with the bulk pile before 6 a.m. on the collection day, and it can be placed the weekend before.
