The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.
Flat-screen TVs
Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.
Tube TVs
An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.
TV stands and other electronics
The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Televisions and other electronics are free to drop off at the South Bay household hazardous waste facility for local residents. They are not named in the city bulky list, and the landfill refuses electronic equipment.

Televisions, computers, monitors, copiers, fax machines and printers, plus paints, batteries, fluorescent lights, used motor oil and filters, sharps and household chemicals.
Open to Chula Vista, Imperial Beach, National City and unincorporated San Diego County residents. City of San Diego residents are not accepted. Bring a California driver's license, identification card or a recent utility bill. No appointment is needed. Caltrans limits hazardous waste transport to 15 gallons or 125 pounds per vehicle.
Wednesdays and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Closed the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day when they fall on a Wednesday or Saturday.
