Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

Exercise equipment is not named in the cart rules or the bulky definition, and any item two workers cannot handle is refused, so the machine is confirmed with the hauler first.

Cost & conditions
No charge. Up to twenty bulky items a calendar year free for each residential customer and each multifamily building over five units, scheduled in groups of no more than five, or four free special pickups of 64 cubic feet each by the trash page description.

No single item that cannot be handled by two workers is accepted, items are not taken from carports, breezeways, enclosures, parking lots or subterranean garages, and hazardous materials including waste oil and antifreeze are refused.
Hawthorne residents have two self haul routes worth knowing. Electronic waste and household batteries ride free on top of the recycling cart on the regular collection day, with batteries bagged. Hazardous material, including paint, pesticides and light bulbs, is refused there and goes instead to the Hyperion Treatment Plant at 7660 W. Imperial Highway, Gate B, in Playa del Rey, which takes household hazardous and electronic waste free of charge on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm with a limit of 15 gallons or 125 pounds per vehicle.
