Electronic waste is both an accepted bulky item at the curb and a free drop-off for Antelope Valley residents at the Antelope Valley Environmental Collection Center in Palmdale.

No charge. Free on the curb as one of the four bulky item pickups a year, or free to drop at the Antelope Valley Environmental Collection Center, which the City and Los Angeles County both describe as free for Antelope Valley and county residents.

Get it ready
Wipe personal data from a computer, phone or drive before it leaves the property, and keep batteries and electronic waste out of all three carts, because the trash container does not take them. Bring material in sturdy containers and expect a per trip limit at the collection center.

A household with an account in good standing gets four free pickups a year of no more than four items each, and the accepted list is furniture, appliances, electronic waste, tree branches, clothing and scrap wood.
Paint, oil, batteries and other household hazardous material cannot go in the carts or on a bulky pile. Take them to the Antelope Valley Environmental Collection Center at 1200 West City Ranch Road in Palmdale on the first or third Saturday of the month between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., where Lancaster and Los Angeles County residents drop household hazardous and electronic waste free of charge within a per trip limit.

Four pickups a year and four items a pickup. Household hazardous waste, spas, pianos, camper shells and anything needing more than two people are not accepted, and additional items are collected for a nominal fee the City does not publish.

Household hazardous waste and electronic waste from Antelope Valley and Los Angeles County residents, such as paint, solvents, chemicals, computers, monitors, batteries, cell phones and fluorescent lights.
Open to residents, not to business waste. Los Angeles County limits a household hazardous waste trip to 15 gallons or 125 pounds, and the county asks residents to pack the material in cardboard boxes, keep products in their original containers, and leave the boxes behind at the site. Households may also take up to five free items a week from the reuse center at the same address.
First and third Saturday of each month, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Los Angeles County lists the center as closed on July 4 and September 5, 2026.
No charge. Free for Antelope Valley and Los Angeles County residents. The City describes the center as giving all Antelope Valley residents a way to drop off household hazardous and electronic waste for free, and the county lists it among the permanent centers where county residents dispose of household hazardous and electronic waste free of charge.

How much does electronics pickup cost in Lancaster?+
A computer monitor is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Choose the actual devices and quantities to see your combined price online. A separate desktop tower and monitor are separate items. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; review the total and any applicable tax before payment.
Can you pick up old electronics today in Lancaster?+

Do you erase data from old computers?+
Data erasure and certified data destruction are not included in Dropcurb removal. Back up the information you need, then follow the manufacturer’s sign-out and reset instructions before pickup. If a device cannot be erased or contains sensitive business information, arrange suitable data handling before giving it away. Yes. Box of electronics is an existing option for small devices, cables and chargers together in one box. A monitor, desktop computer and printer each have their own item option. Send a photo before booking for a large or heavy box, unusual contents or separate batteries so we can confirm the fit.
Where can electronic waste go in Lancaster?+
Two routes are free. How do the free landfill visits work?+
A Lancaster residential account in good standing gets two visits a year at no charge to the Lancaster Landfill & Recycling Center at 600 E. Ave. F. Electronic vouchers are added to each account in July and last twelve months, identification matching the account holder is needed at the scale house, and each visit is capped at one ton or 2,000 pounds of household trash, bulky items or green waste.Official guidance
Can I pick up free paint or household products?+
Yes. Los Angeles County runs a reuse center at the Antelope Valley Environmental Collection Center where residents pick up unused or partly used products dropped off there, including household cleaners, lawn and garden care and paint, free of charge, with up to five items a week per household. How is residential trash service billed?+
