Get it ready
Remove the door, or remove the hinges and the portion of the latch mechanism that could lock the door, before a refrigerator, freezer, clothes dryer, washing machine or similar appliance is left where a child could reach it, because the hauler cites the California Penal Code section 402b rule. Keep the appliance out of the three carts.
Have the material at the curb by 6 a.m. and never more than 24 hours early, with small items bagged, boxed or bundled in disposable containers and yard clippings tied or bagged. Keep the set-out inside five cubic yards, keep items other than furniture and appliances under 75 pounds, and leave dirt, rock, concrete, paint, liquids, hazardous material and plate glass out of the pile.
