Rialto's Solid Waste Management Office oversees a Burrtec Waste Industries contract, and a single family household may book two free bulky item pickups each calendar year, with additional pickups for a fee and up to two rimless tires taken free on each one. The city also runs four Community Clean-Up Days a year at 150 S. Palm Ave., where residents with proof of residency can bring furniture, mattresses, scrap metal, toilets, wood and yard trimmings for free, drop off electronics, and take up to nine used tires to the Public Works Office. Televisions, computers and monitors also leave on a scheduled e-waste pickup, while the household hazardous waste site on Willow Avenue refuses electronics and large appliances.
