One computer setup can be several items.

A separate monitor and tower count separately. Small devices and cables have their own box option. Choose what is actually leaving so your price matches the pickup.

Monitor, desktop or laptop.

Choose Computer monitor for each separate display. Desktop computer covers one tower or one all-in-one computer. A laptop is its own item. Add only the devices going.

Printer or office copier.

A printer with a built-in scanner belongs under Printer. A floor-standing copy machine belongs under Office copier. The shape matters more than the brand.

A box of smaller electronics.

Use Box of electronics for small devices, cables and chargers together in one box. For a large or heavy box, unusual contents or separate batteries, send a photo and confirm the fit before booking.

Televisions, computers and small electronics

Accepted with preparation

The city's items list routes electronics to a customer service call that books an e-waste pickup on the next service day, and the clean-up days take televisions, computers and monitors for free.

City cost & eligibility
Rialto publishes no price for the scheduled e-waste pickup, so confirm the pickup and any charge with Burrtec Waste Industries at 909-877-1596. The Community Clean-Up Day electronics drop-off is free to residents with proof of residency.
When & how
Call Burrtec customer service at 909-877-1596 to schedule the e-waste pickup on your next service day, or bring televisions, microwaves, computers, monitors and other electronics to 150 S. Palm Ave. on one of the four clean-up days between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Get it ready
Keep electronics out of every cart, because the acceptable items list places them outside the recycling container and the hauler flyer lists them among the green cart and trash refusals. Wipe or reset anything that stores data, and bring proof of residency to a clean-up day.

Hazardous waste goes to the Willow Avenue site

It is illegal to throw hazardous material in the trash. The city's site behind 246 South Willow Ave. accepts paint, motor oil and filters, cleaners, pesticides, antifreeze, fertilizers, fuels, pool supplies, propane tanks, sharps containers, medications, batteries and fluorescent bulbs on Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the twice monthly dates, free to San Bernardino County residents. Electronics and large appliances such as refrigerators and dryers are refused there and use their own routes.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Rialto runs the collection through Burrtec Waste Industries under the city's Solid Waste Management Office, and the first place to call is 909-877-1596. A single family household gets two free bulky item pickups a calendar year, with up to two rimless tires free on each, and the city adds four Community Clean-Up Days a year at 150 S. Palm Ave., where residents with proof of residency bring furniture, mattresses, scrap metal, toilets, wood, branches and yard trimmings for free and drop off televisions, computers, monitors and other electronics. Electronics also leave on a scheduled e-waste pickup booked through customer service for the next service day. Paint, oil, cleaners, pesticides, batteries, fuels and sharps go to the household hazardous waste site behind 246 S. Willow Ave. on Fridays and Saturdays, which is free to county residents but refuses electronics and large appliances. Construction material has no city route: it goes to the county landfill, where regular fees apply even during the clean-up days. A separate desktop tower and monitor are separate items. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; review the total and any applicable tax before payment.

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates shown at checkout and have the prepared items outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done. The booking is for a day, not an exact arrival time.

Does computer removal include my monitor and printer?

Desktop computer covers one tower or one all-in-one computer. Add a separate monitor, printer or laptop as its own item if it is going too. For small devices, cables and chargers together, choose Box of electronics and check the description before booking.

Do you erase data from old computers?

Data erasure and certified data destruction are not included in Dropcurb removal. Back up the information you need, then follow the manufacturer’s sign-out and reset instructions before pickup. If a device cannot be erased or contains sensitive business information, arrange suitable data handling before giving it away. Completion photos confirm the pickup, not data destruction.Official guidance

Can I book one box of old cables and small electronics?

Yes. Box of electronics is an existing option for small devices, cables and chargers together in one box. A monitor, desktop computer and printer each have their own item option. Send a photo before booking for a large or heavy box, unusual contents or separate batteries so we can confirm the fit.
