Get it ready
Empty the unit, remove the doors so nothing can be trapped inside, and do not take a refrigerator or air conditioning unit to the Saturday hazardous waste facility, because the city refuses those there. The programme describes collection rather than material recovery.
Barrels go out the night before or no later than 6 a.m. on the collection day, either in the street with the wheels against the curb or, on alley service, in the alley away from any structures, and they come back out of sight by the night they are emptied.
