Adams County does not provide trash and recycling collection in unincorporated areas, so a Berkley household contracts any licensed solid waste hauler. The county licenses haulers under Ordinance 17, requires them to offer curbside recycling alongside landfill collection, and publishes the licensed list, which includes trash and recycling companies as well as separate junk removal and construction debris haulers.
Ask what the hauler takes before anything goes out
Each hauler sets its own bulky item terms and preparation rules, so ask before setting anything out. A mattress can be recycled at the Commerce City drop-off instead, working appliances and gently used furniture can go to a donation dock, and electronics have to go to the Veolia center or the county event rather than the curb.

Every hauler working in unincorporated Adams County has to hold a county licence and offer curbside recycling, but each one sets its own pricing, item limits and bulky item terms, so nothing is accepted as a right.
Municipal solid waste, construction and demolition debris, yard waste and green waste, and clean or non-hazardous contaminated soils, with appliances, tires and electronic waste accepted for an additional charge and single stream recycling taken at no charge at the recycling center.
The site does not accept hazardous or liquid waste, and some waste streams have to be scheduled with the facility in advance.
Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed Sunday and on holidays including New Year's Day and Memorial Day.
Appliances, tires and electronic waste carry an additional charge and the facility publishes no amount, so confirm the rate for the load before hauling.
