A few pieces, one pickup

Your room has changed. The old furniture can go.

The desk you no longer use. The dresser that doesn’t fit the new layout. The chairs left over after a move. Choose the pieces you’re done with and give them a pickup day, without arranging a quote visit.

Different pieces. One clear total.

Add each furniture item and its quantity. See the combined price before you pay, with loading, transportation and disposal included.

Choose each piece

A table and four chairs are five items.

You don’t need to guess how much space your furniture fills in a truck. Match each piece to the catalog, then add its quantity. Your total updates as you go.

Tables and chairs

Choose the table, then add each chair separately. Coffee tables, side tables and dining tables have their own options. A large or substantially heavy table has a different choice.

Dressers and mirrors

Match the dresser’s overall size. Add a separate dresser mirror as its own item if it is leaving too. Empty drawers and keep the belongings you want before moving the dresser outside.

Desks and bookshelves

Choose by construction, not height alone. A basic desk is different from a heavy desk with a substantial body. A tall, lightweight bookcase can still be a standard bookshelf. Empty it first.

Couches, chairs and household furniture

Accepted with preparation

The Front Range Landfill names a couch, loveseat or sectional among the items it accepts at a published per item rate, so furniture has a self-haul route even though no program collects it from the curb.

City cost & eligibility
$74 per couch, loveseat or sectional delivered to the Front Range Landfill. Open to the public at the Front Range Landfill. A car load is charged 141 dollars, a pickup 175 dollars when the waste stays below the top of the cab and 236 dollars above it, and uncovered loads are charged double.
When & how
Ask the hauler on your account whether it collects furniture as a bulky item, or take it to the Front Range Landfill in Erie, open Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Get it ready
Empty the drawers, remove cushions and loose parts, and keep the item out of the recycling cart. Tarp the load for the landfill or it is charged double, and bring a reflective safety vest if you will get out of the vehicle.

Boulder County and licensed private haulers

Ask the hauler on your account

A Niwot household that already pays a licensed hauler and would rather have the item collected from the property than move it.

Cost & conditions
Boulder County licenses every hauler working in unincorporated Boulder County and requires volume based pricing, single-stream recycling, composting in some areas and annual reporting, but it publishes no bulky item programme and no rate. Confirm the item, the limit and the charge with the company that collects your carts.
Arrange it
Call the company on your account. The county's Resource Conservation Division answers questions about the hauler rules at 720-564-2220 and resourceconservation@bouldercounty.gov.

Only some haulers offer bulky collection and the item lists and prices vary between them, so nothing is guaranteed by the county licence. Anything a hauler declines still has to move through the Front Range Landfill in Erie or the hard-to-recycle center in Boulder.

Read the county hauler rules

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Niwot is unincorporated, so there is no town collection and Boulder County states that it does not haul waste from homes or businesses. The company that collects your carts is licensed by the county, which requires Pay-as-You-Throw pricing, single-stream recycling, composting in some areas and annual reporting, so ask that hauler first about anything large. What a hauler will not take can go to the Front Range Landfill in Erie on Weld County Road 5, open Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., where a car load is charged a flat rate, tonnage loads are charged by weight with a minimum, a couch or a mattress is charged per item and white goods such as washers, dryers and stoves are recycled for a per item fee. Tarp and secure every load or it is charged double, and bring a reflective safety vest. The landfill refuses refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, batteries, electronics, hazardous waste, liquids, propane and tires, so those go to Eco-Cycle's hard-to-recycle center at 6400 Arapahoe Road in Boulder for a facility fee plus item fees, or to the county Hazardous Materials Management Facility at 1901 63rd Street for paint, chemicals, oil, antifreeze and sharps. Single-stream recycling can be dropped free at the county center on 63rd Street at any hour, yard and wood waste go to the county sponsored drop-off at Western Disposal with a 40 per cent resident discount, and the county Recycling Center refuses hazardous material. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Furniture removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Niwot.

How much does furniture removal cost in Niwot?

Choose the type and size of each piece to see its price. For example, a medium dresser is $79 as the first item or $29 as an additional item. Your total starts with the highest first-item price in your selection, then uses the additional-item price for every other item. Review the complete total and any applicable tax before payment.

Can I get same-day furniture pickup in Niwot?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup and choose from the dates shown at checkout. Arrange to have the furniture outside according to your confirmation. You receive a text when your hauler is on the way and photos after collection.

Will you remove furniture from inside my apartment?

Dropcurb starts outside. You arrange indoor carrying, including any interior stairs or elevator trip. We load and take away the furniture from an accessible outdoor location. Check your building’s rules and plan the route out before booking.

Can you take several different furniture items in one pickup?

Yes. Add each piece and its quantity to one booking. A dining table and four chairs are five items; a separate mirror is not included with a dresser. You can mix eligible items from different rooms and review their combined total before paying.

Do I need to take furniture apart before pickup?

You arrange any disassembly needed to move the furniture out of your home and into an accessible outdoor pickup spot. Dropcurb does not provide indoor disassembly or carrying. If you are unsure which catalog choice matches a dismantled or unusual piece, send a photo and ask before booking.

Will anyone take a couch from the curb in Niwot?

Only if the private hauler on your account offers bulky collection, because neither Niwot nor Boulder County runs a curbside bulky programme. The dependable alternative is the Front Range Landfill in Erie, which names a couch, loveseat or sectional in its accepted list at a published per item rate.Official guidance

Does Niwot or Boulder County run a bulky item pickup?

No. Niwot has no municipal government and Boulder County states that it does not provide hauling services to homes or businesses, so there is no county bulky item programme. The curb route is whatever the licensed hauler on your account offers, and anything it declines can go to the Front Range Landfill in Erie or to the hard-to-recycle center in Boulder for mattresses, electronics and cooling appliances.Official guidance

Can I take my own load to a landfill from Niwot?

Yes. The Front Range Landfill in Erie is open to the public on Weld County Road 5, Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., and takes household waste, construction debris, concrete and asphalt, clean fill, a couch, loveseat or sectional, a mattress or box spring, a treadmill without its computer and white goods for recycling. A car load is charged a flat rate, a pickup is charged more when the waste rises above the cab, tonnage loads are charged by weight with a minimum, and an uncovered load is charged double.Official guidance
