Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Welby is unincorporated, so there is no town collection and Adams County says it does not provide trash or recycling services for residents. The company that collects your carts has to hold a county hauler licence and must offer curbside recycling against the county recyclables list, so ask that hauler first about anything large. What it will not take can go to the Front Range Landfill in Erie on Weld County Road 5, open Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., where a car load is charged a flat rate, wood, concrete, drywall, siding and dirt are charged by the ton with a minimum, a couch or a mattress is charged per item and white goods such as washers, dryers and stoves are recycled for a per item fee. Tarp and secure every load or it is charged double, and bring a reflective safety vest. The landfill refuses refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, batteries, electronics, hazardous waste, liquids, propane and tires. Electronics go to the county drop-off at PedalPoint Solutions in Aurora, which needs registration and charges per vehicle, or to the Veolia centre in Henderson by appointment, and household chemicals go to the same centre using the county voucher that covers one facility fee per household, with the household paying the per pound charge and paint free. Sharps and cooling appliances have no published county route here, so confirm those with your hauler before setting anything out.
