Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and remodeling debris

Not on the regular city route

Building, remodeling, landscaping and excavating material is refused at the curb, and a resident or contractor has to provide a dumpster at their own expense.

City cost & eligibility
The City refuses building materials and the listed renovation and excavation material at the curb and on bulk weeks, stating that a resident or contractor must provide a dumpster at their own expense. West Haven residents may also take bulk trash to the New Haven Transfer Station by weight, where household trash and garbage filled bags are not accepted.
When & how
Arrange the dumpster or the transfer station trip before the project generates debris, because nothing from a project goes out with the weekly collection or a bulk week.
Get it ready
Keep sand, stone, mortar, conduit, gypsum blocks, lumber, molding, bathroom fixtures, asphalt, plasterboard, plaster, trees and stumps out of the curb pile entirely, and keep hazardous material such as paint, propane and chemicals out as well.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in West Haven.

How much does construction debris removal cost in West Haven?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in West Haven?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Will West Haven take construction debris?

No. Building materials are refused, along with sand, stone, mortar, conduit, gypsum blocks, lumber, molding, bathroom fixtures, asphalt, plasterboard, plaster, trees and stumps, and refuse from building, remodeling, landscaping or excavating.
