Items go curbside by 7 a.m. on the regular garbage day, away from light poles, mailboxes and trees, with leaves bagged, and anything left after crews pass on the last day is not collected. The Seminole County Central Transfer Station on 1950 State Road 419 in Longwood is open Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and takes household hazardous waste, electronics, recyclables, yard waste, cooking oil and up to four tires per person, with the hazardous waste tunnel open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The county landfill on 1930 Osceola Road in Geneva is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and takes Class I and Class II waste, construction and demolition debris, yard waste, white goods and appliances, and up to ten tires per person. Covered loads pay the standard rate and uncovered loads pay twice.
