A mattress or box spring is a large household item, so it rides with the weekly bulk collection on the regular service day instead of being scheduled separately.
City cost & eligibility
$37.27 for the monthly solid waste component of the minimum Clearwater utility bill, which covers the weekly bulk collection the City runs for large household items. Clearwater utility customers inside the city limits. The City names washers, dryers, sofas and furniture as the examples for the program, so confirm a mattress or an adjustable base with the operations line if it needs special handling.

Wrap or bag the mattress so it stays dry and can be lifted, and keep it clear of overhead wires, trees, poles, mailboxes and vehicles. You can choose an offered pickup day around your replacement delivery. First check whether the retailer already includes old-mattress removal, and arrange who will bring it outside if needed.
