Bring the material upright and in its original labeled container where possible, never mix chemicals, and keep electronics out of the garbage and recycling carts because they are handled with the hazardous waste stream.
Bring the material to a Home Chemical and Recycling Center, keep products in their original labeled containers, make sure lids are tight, do not mix chemicals, and transport items upright. There is no curbside collection for any of it, no appointment is needed at the two Delray centers, and gasoline is limited to 10 gallons at the eastern Delray center and 30 gallons at the western one, with oil limited to 25 gallons and fluorescent bulbs to 10.

The co-located transfer station takes self-haul household trash, bulky material and appliances.
Free drop-off is for Palm Beach County residents and there is no curbside collection for these materials. Refused items include tires, sharps or medical waste, prescription medicines, explosives, radioactive waste, garbage or trash, empty containers and electric vehicle batteries. Quantities are limited to 10 gallons of gasoline at this center, 25 gallons of oil and 10 fluorescent bulbs. The transfer station cannot accept concrete, block, brick, tile, steel, rebar, roofing material, construction lumber, trusses, pallets, dirt, fill, sod or stumps, and tire loads are never accepted at a transfer station.
