Choose the right items

One computer setup can be several items.

A separate monitor and tower count separately. Small devices and cables have their own box option. Choose what is actually leaving so your price matches the pickup.

Monitor, desktop or laptop.

Choose Computer monitor for each separate display. Desktop computer covers one tower or one all-in-one computer. A laptop is its own item. Add only the devices going.

Printer or office copier.

A printer with a built-in scanner belongs under Printer. A floor-standing copy machine belongs under Office copier. The shape matters more than the brand.

A box of smaller electronics.

Use Box of electronics for small devices, cables and chargers together in one box. For a large or heavy box, unusual contents or separate batteries, send a photo and confirm the fit before booking.

Electronics and televisions

Accepted with preparation

Household electronics go in the brown trash container, a large item goes out with the bulk collection, and the county also takes computers, monitors and televisions free at its drop-off sites.

City cost & eligibility
$25.03 for the published basic residential solid waste collection rate on the City solid waste collection rate table, which covers the weekly collection that takes household electronics placed in the brown container. City of Kissimmee residential customers inside the city limits. An electronic item too large for the container is set out with the bulk collection, which is charged by the cubic yard instead, and the county household chemical and electronics sites take computers, monitors and televisions at no charge from county households including city residents.
When & how
Small electronics ride with the weekly garbage in the brown container. A large item goes out by 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled bulk collection day with the division told at 407-518-2507, or it is taken to the county drop-off sites, which are open on weekdays and Saturday morning.
Get it ready
Keep electronics out of the blue recycling container, because the City lists electronics with the brown trash container rather than with recycling. At the county sites, computers, monitors, televisions, cell phones, VCRs and smoke, carbon monoxide and radon detectors are accepted, materials travel in the trunk away from passengers, and a leaking or damaged battery is never put in a cart. Never put a lithium ion battery in the trash or the recycling cart, because it can combust under pressure.

Chemicals and batteries go to the county

Chemicals, paint, motor oil, propane tanks and fire extinguishers stay out of every container and go to the county drop-off sites instead, where household chemicals are free for residents and the last chemical load is accepted at 2:45 p.m. Lithium ion batteries never go in the trash or the recycling cart, because they can combust under pressure once they are compacted in the truck, so the terminals are taped and the battery is taken to the county as well.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Inside the city limits the curb is the main route, because furniture, appliances, mattresses, swing sets, large boxes and big tree trimmings all leave with the weekly bulk collection and are charged by volume on the Kissimmee Utility Authority bill. What the curbside program refuses has a county home instead. Household chemicals, paint, motor oil, propane tanks and fire extinguishers go free to the Bass Road Disposal Facility at 750 S. Bass Road in Kissimmee on weekdays or to the St. Cloud Transfer Station at 2701 Peghorn Way, and both sites also take the electronics and batteries that should not sit in a cart. The county hub lists further drop-off options for recycling, tires and yard waste. An address that turns out to sit in unincorporated Osceola County runs on the county program through Waste Management instead, with its own bulky and appliance rules and its own rates, so the city limits check comes before anything else. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Electronics removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Kissimmee.

How much does electronics pickup cost in Kissimmee?

A computer monitor is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Choose the actual devices and quantities to see your combined price online. A separate desktop tower and monitor are separate items. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; review the total and any applicable tax before payment.

Can you pick up old electronics today in Kissimmee?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates shown at checkout and have the prepared items outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done. The booking is for a day, not an exact arrival time.

Does computer removal include my monitor and printer?

Desktop computer covers one tower or one all-in-one computer. Add a separate monitor, printer or laptop as its own item if it is going too. For small devices, cables and chargers together, choose Box of electronics and check the description before booking.

Do you erase data from old computers?

Data erasure and certified data destruction are not included in Dropcurb removal. Back up the information you need, then follow the manufacturer’s sign-out and reset instructions before pickup. If a device cannot be erased or contains sensitive business information, arrange suitable data handling before giving it away. Completion photos confirm the pickup, not data destruction.Official guidance

Can I book one box of old cables and small electronics?

Yes. Box of electronics is an existing option for small devices, cables and chargers together in one box. A monitor, desktop computer and printer each have their own item option. Send a photo before booking for a large or heavy box, unusual contents or separate batteries so we can confirm the fit.

Where do electronics go in Kissimmee?

Small household electronics go in the brown trash container, not the blue recycling container. A television or another device too large for the container is set out with the scheduled bulk collection and charged by volume, and Osceola County also takes computers, monitors, televisions, cell phones and detectors free from city households at the Bass Road and Peghorn Way sites.Official guidance

Can a battery go in the electronics load?

A lithium ion battery never goes in the trash or the recycling cart, because it can leak or combust under pressure in the truck. Tape the terminals, keep the battery separate and dry, and take it to the Bass Road drop-off site, which accepts single use, button cell, rechargeable, alkaline and lead acid batteries.Official guidance

Who picks up the trash in Kissimmee?

The City of Kissimmee Solid Waste Division collects residential and commercial waste inside the city limits, once a week for garbage, recycling, yard waste and bulk, and the division can be reached at 407-518-2507 or by email at sanitation@kissimmee.gov from offices at 101 Church Street.Official guidance

How do I know my address is in the city limits?

An address can say Kissimmee and still sit in unincorporated Osceola County, where Waste Management handles trash and recycling under the county program rather than the City. The City publishes a city limits checker, and the county explains that its own once a week garbage, recycling, yard waste and bulk service covers unincorporated residents only.Official guidance

How is a bulk pickup charged?

By volume. Bulk charges appear on the Kissimmee Utility Authority bill, one cubic yard is roughly the size of a standard washing machine, and the City publishes a table that runs from one cubic yard up to twelve. A large pile is worth confirming with the Solid Waste Division first, because volume drives the amount.Official guidance

Which container is which?

Brown is for bagged household garbage, blue is for recycling such as flattened cardboard, paper, metal cans and plastic bottles and containers with the lids removed, and green is for yard waste such as grass trimmings, leaves, weeds and small branches. Plastic bags do not go in the recycling container or the yard waste container.Official guidance

How do holidays change collection?

There is no collection on New Years Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, and the City provides a makeup day for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Labor Day, Veterans Day, the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve do not change the schedule, and the City maintains its own holiday table.Official guidance
