Kissimmee collects its own garbage, recycling, yard waste and bulk waste once a week, and the bulky program is the part most residents need: furniture, appliances, mattresses, swing sets, large boxes and big tree trimmings leave the curb with no appointment to book. Two things are worth knowing before anything goes out. The first is the boundary, because an address that says Kissimmee may sit in unincorporated Osceola County where Waste Management runs collection instead. The second is the billing, because a bulk load is charged by volume on the Kissimmee Utility Authority bill rather than being free, and the City asks residents to say when a pile is going out. Chemicals and electronics are the exception, and Osceola County takes both at its own drop-off sites.
