A few pieces, one pickup

Choose each piece

A table and four chairs are five items.

You don’t need to guess how much space your furniture fills in a truck. Match each piece to the catalog, then add its quantity. Your total updates as you go.

Tables and chairs

Choose the table, then add each chair separately. Coffee tables, side tables and dining tables have their own options. A large or substantially heavy table has a different choice.

Dressers and mirrors

Match the dresser’s overall size. Add a separate dresser mirror as its own item if it is leaving too. Empty drawers and keep the belongings you want before moving the dresser outside.

Desks and bookshelves

Choose by construction, not height alone. A basic desk is different from a heavy desk with a substantial body. A tall, lightweight bookcase can still be a standard bookshelf. Empty it first.

Furniture and large household items

Accepted with preparation

Furniture and other oversized household items go to the curb on the scheduled bulk day without an appointment, and the load is charged by volume on the utility bill.

City cost & eligibility
From $25.85 for the published bulk waste rate for 1 cubic yard on the City large item pickup page, charged on the Kissimmee Utility Authority bill, with the table running up to 12 cubic yards. City of Kissimmee residential customers inside the city limits. The City schedule page publishes a slightly different per cubic yard figure and marks its table as varying with weight, so confirm the rate for the load with the Solid Waste Division.
When & how
Once a week on the scheduled bulk collection day, at the curb by 7:00 a.m. Residents are asked to call 407-518-2507 to say a bulk pile is going out.
Get it ready
Place items at least four feet away from other objects, keep them out of the sidewalk and away from storm drains, and keep bulk waste separate from yard waste and garbage. Tree trimming piles stay separate from other kinds of bulk. Giveaway items are not left in the right of way, because drivers may collect them by mistake. City crews cannot come onto private property, and items generated by a private contractor doing tree or remodeling work at the home are not collected.

Keep bulk piles separate and clear

Bulk items go at least four feet from other objects, out of the sidewalk and away from storm drains. Bulk waste cannot be mixed with yard waste or garbage, and a tree trimming pile stays separate from other kinds of bulk. A refrigerator needs the door side down or the door removed, and a pile is not left in the right of way if it is meant to be given away, because a driver may collect it by mistake.

Tell the division a bulk pile is going out

The City asks residents to call 407-518-2507 and say they are leaving bulk waste out for collection, and the same number handles a question about what will be taken. City crews cannot come onto private property, so the items have to be at the curb, and debris generated by a private contractor doing tree or remodeling work is not collected at all.

Permitted private hauler

A household or contractor with a load the City will not collect, such as contractor generated remodeling debris or a volume larger than the bulk program takes.

Cost & conditions
The City publishes no private hauler rate, so confirm the container size, the material, the pickup window and the price directly with the company, and check that the company is permitted to work in the City.
Arrange it
Describe the material and where it will be staged, and confirm where the load is going before the container is delivered.

The City does not collect debris generated by a private contractor performing tree or remodeling work at a home, so a contractor load goes through the company doing the work or through a permitted hauler rather than the curbside bulk program.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Inside the city limits the curb is the main route, because furniture, appliances, mattresses, swing sets, large boxes and big tree trimmings all leave with the weekly bulk collection and are charged by volume on the Kissimmee Utility Authority bill. What the curbside program refuses has a county home instead. Household chemicals, paint, motor oil, propane tanks and fire extinguishers go free to the Bass Road Disposal Facility at 750 S. Bass Road in Kissimmee on weekdays or to the St. Cloud Transfer Station at 2701 Peghorn Way, and both sites also take the electronics and batteries that should not sit in a cart. The county hub lists further drop-off options for recycling, tires and yard waste. An address that turns out to sit in unincorporated Osceola County runs on the county program through Waste Management instead, with its own bulky and appliance rules and its own rates, so the city limits check comes before anything else. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Furniture removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Kissimmee.

How much does furniture removal cost in Kissimmee?

Choose the type and size of each piece to see its price. For example, a medium dresser is $79 as the first item or $29 as an additional item. Your total starts with the highest first-item price in your selection, then uses the additional-item price for every other item. Review the complete total and any applicable tax before payment.

Can I get same-day furniture pickup in Kissimmee?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup and choose from the dates shown at checkout. Arrange to have the furniture outside according to your confirmation. You receive a text when your hauler is on the way and photos after collection.

Will you remove furniture from inside my apartment?

Dropcurb starts outside. You arrange indoor carrying, including any interior stairs or elevator trip. We load and take away the furniture from an accessible outdoor location. Check your building’s rules and plan the route out before booking.

Can you take several different furniture items in one pickup?

Yes. Add each piece and its quantity to one booking. A dining table and four chairs are five items; a separate mirror is not included with a dresser. You can mix eligible items from different rooms and review their combined total before paying.

Do I need to take furniture apart before pickup?

You arrange any disassembly needed to move the furniture out of your home and into an accessible outdoor pickup spot. Dropcurb does not provide indoor disassembly or carrying. If you are unsure which catalog choice matches a dismantled or unusual piece, send a photo and ask before booking.

How does a Kissimmee bulk pickup work?

Large items go to the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled bulk day with no appointment to book, and the City asks residents to call 407-518-2507 to say the pile is going out. Items sit at least four feet from other objects, and the collection is charged by volume on the Kissimmee Utility Authority bill.Official guidance

Which bulk rate applies to my load?

The load is charged by the cubic yard on the Kissimmee Utility Authority bill, and one cubic yard is roughly the size of a standard washing machine. The two City pages that publish the bulk table do not show the same figure and the schedule page notes that charges may vary with weight, so confirm the rate for the specific load with the Solid Waste Division before it goes out.Official guidance

Does the City take debris from a contractor?

No. The City does not pick up items generated by a private contractor performing tree or remodeling work at a home, and City crews are not allowed on private property. Separate the material your own household generated and set that out, and use a permitted hauler or the county site for anything a contractor left.Official guidance

Who picks up the trash in Kissimmee?

The City of Kissimmee Solid Waste Division collects residential and commercial waste inside the city limits, once a week for garbage, recycling, yard waste and bulk, and the division can be reached at 407-518-2507 or by email at sanitation@kissimmee.gov from offices at 101 Church Street.Official guidance

How do I know my address is in the city limits?

An address can say Kissimmee and still sit in unincorporated Osceola County, where Waste Management handles trash and recycling under the county program rather than the City. The City publishes a city limits checker, and the county explains that its own once a week garbage, recycling, yard waste and bulk service covers unincorporated residents only.Official guidance

How is a bulk pickup charged?

By volume. Bulk charges appear on the Kissimmee Utility Authority bill, one cubic yard is roughly the size of a standard washing machine, and the City publishes a table that runs from one cubic yard up to twelve. A large pile is worth confirming with the Solid Waste Division first, because volume drives the amount.Official guidance

Which container is which?

Brown is for bagged household garbage, blue is for recycling such as flattened cardboard, paper, metal cans and plastic bottles and containers with the lids removed, and green is for yard waste such as grass trimmings, leaves, weeds and small branches. Plastic bags do not go in the recycling container or the yard waste container.Official guidance

How do holidays change collection?

There is no collection on New Years Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, and the City provides a makeup day for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Labor Day, Veterans Day, the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve do not change the schedule, and the City maintains its own holiday table.Official guidance
