The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.
Flat-screen TVs
Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.
Tube TVs
An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.
TV stands and other electronics
The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

City cost & eligibility
$10 for added to the One-Bill for each bulk pickup requested in Districts 1 through 11, while Districts 12 through 15 carry no additional fee on the district route and the county's Amnesty Day events are free. Villages residents on the district bulk route within the five item limit, or Sumter County residents at the mobile Amnesty Day collections on the published dates.
When & how
Schedule the bulk pickup with the district number for the address, or use the county's Amnesty Day events, which run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on August 15, 2026 at the Sumter County Citizen's Drop off Area and November 7, 2026 at Lake Okahumpka Park.
Get it ready
Wipe personal data before handover, keep electronics out of the ordinary household waste bundle, and at an Amnesty Day event do not mix chemicals, keep products in labelled containers and carry the boxes in the trunk or the back of the vehicle away from passengers.
Bulk pickups are scheduled by district and capped at five items
Bulk pickup is scheduled by phone for the district the address sits in, and the limit is strictly five items per pickup, with a sixth item requiring its own pickup and fee. Districts 1 through 11 add ten dollars to the monthly One-Bill each time a pickup is requested and schedule at 352-748-0109, while Districts 12 through 15 are not charged an additional fee and schedule at 352-750-0000. The District may add charges for loads that exceed policy limits, need special handling or came from contractor work.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Schedule the district bulk pickup
A Villages household in any district with up to five large items such as furniture, a mattress, an appliance, a television, electronics, exercise equipment, a grill or a lawn mower.
Cost & conditions
$10 for added to the monthly One-Bill for each bulk pickup requested in Districts 1 through 11, with no additional fee for Districts 12 through 15 and possible extra charges for over-limit or contractor loads. Villages Community Development District residents scheduling with the number for their district and staying inside the five item limit.
Arrange it
Call 352-748-0109 for Districts 1 through 11 or 352-750-0000 for Districts 12 through 15, then set the items out for the assigned pickup day.
Five items per pickup, wall-to-wall carpet and padding are never collected, contractor-generated construction and lawn debris are refused, and only minor homeowner remodeling debris is allowed.

Take a load to the Sumter County drop-off area
A household with brush, construction and demolition debris, electronics, furniture, tires, batteries or scrap metal that will not ride the district route.
Cost & conditions
The county prices the Citizen's Drop-Off Area on its own fee schedule rather than a flat rate, and recyclables are free, so confirm the load and the amount before hauling. Paint is not accepted there at all, and only small amounts of latex paint may be dried out and put in ordinary trash.
Arrange it
Take the load to 819 CR 529, Lake Panasoffkee, FL 33538 during the county's open hours.
Residential loads only, paint excluded, and hazardous waste excluded because it is taken only at the county's mobile Amnesty Day collections.

A household with paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, automotive fluids, batteries, fluorescent lamps or household electronics such as televisions and computers.
Cost & conditions
No charge. Free to Sumter County residents at the mobile collection events, limited to the published accepted list, which excludes tires, explosives, radioactive material, biological or infectious waste and empty paint cans.
Arrange it
Bring the material between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on August 15, 2026 at the county drop-off area on CR 529 in Lake Panasoffkee, or on November 7, 2026 at Lake Okahumpka Park in Wildwood, packed in boxes in the trunk or the back of the vehicle.
Two dates a year, published material lists only, and propane tanks are limited to 25 pounds.

Residential loads only, priced on the county fee schedule with recyclables free. Paint is not accepted at all, so large amounts have to go to a mobile collection day; only small amounts of latex paint may be dried out with the lid off and put in ordinary trash. Hazardous waste is not accepted here either.

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.
Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?+
You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.
Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?+
Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.
Does my old TV have to work?+
Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.
