Keep the unit dry and wrapped so it can be handled, count a mattress and box spring as separate pieces when setting them out, and keep it out of the trash container, which is for household trash only.
Everything meant for collection goes to the curb the evening before the collection day or by 7 a.m. at the latest, and comes back in no later than 7 p.m. the same day. The container faces the house with the handle outward, sits clear of the mailbox, trees and anything else in the truck's way, and holds household trash only, because garbage set on the ground or on top of the container is not collected.
