Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

City cost & eligibility
The City publishes no rate for an item it does not name. Exercise equipment is not in the bulky item examples, which are single pieces of furniture and mattresses, so call Canton Public Works on 770-720-7674 and confirm whether the machine is collected, whether it counts as the monthly piece and whether it fits the 50 pound limit. A metal machine can also go to the county recycling center as metal.

Get it ready
Describe the machine when you call, including whether it folds down and roughly what it weighs, because the City refuses anything over 50 pounds. Take off loose weights and the console, break the machine down as far as it comes apart, and keep the load out of the street and away from fire hydrants and utility boxes.
Neither the bulky item pickup nor the brush pickup happens on its own. Both are scheduled by calling Canton Public Works at 770-720-7674, bulky items run once per month per residential property and brush runs once a week per property on request. The free City collection site is the walk in or drive in alternative for the material it accepts.
The bulky item service refuses anything over 50 pounds and does not take cardboard boxes, and it is meant for a single piece of furniture, a mattress or another item that will not fit in the sanitation cart. A refrigerator or freezer also has to be emptied of food and tagged as freon free before the City collection site will take it.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Dropcurb pickup starts outside. Arrange indoor carrying, stairs and any dismantling needed to get your equipment out before pickup. Check the moving instructions for your exact model and arrange suitable help. We load and haul away the equipment from an accessible outdoor spot.
Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
