Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

Exercise machines are not named on the city accepted bulk list, so the item is confirmed with the hauler before it goes to the curb.
City cost & eligibility
The city publishes no rate for exercise equipment because the item is not on the accepted list, so confirm the machine, the pickup day and any charge with the hauler at 770-279-3703 or through the city service request link before it goes out.
When & how
Confirm the item first, then request the bulk pickup within 24 hours of the trash service day and no later than 3 p.m.
Get it ready
Break the machine down as far as it comes apart, take off loose weights and the console, and keep the frame clear of vehicles, mailboxes and utility poles. An unconfirmed machine left at the curb is not a scheduled bulk item and can be left behind.
The weekly truck empties carts, so a couch, appliance, mattress or pile of junk needs a bulk request submitted within 24 hours of the trash service day and no later than 3 p.m. The city allows two items a week, and the hauler page describes the same service as one item a week with advance notice by phone, so confirm the count when the request goes in.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

A city household with furniture, an appliance, a wrapped mattress or another large item that will not fit in the 95-gallon cart.
Cost & conditions
No charge. Included in the annual residential sanitation service billed on the city property tax bill, with two items allowed each week at no separate collection charge.
Arrange it
Submit the request through the city service request link within 24 hours of the trash service day and no later than 3 p.m., then put the items at the curb on the scheduled day.
Tires, batteries, propane tanks, glass doors and mirrors, swing sets, pool tables, safes, trampolines, pianos and construction and demolition debris are refused, and an extra cart is billed separately by the hauler.

Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
