Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

Exercise equipment is named nowhere in the City directory, so the machine is confirmed with the hauler before anything is set out.
City cost & eligibility
The City publishes no rate for an item it does not name and collects nothing at the curb itself, so call the licensed hauler on the account and confirm whether the machine is picked up with household material, whether it needs its own arrangement and what it costs.

Arrange the pickup with the hauler rather than setting the machine out for a city collection, which does not exist.
Get it ready
Describe the machine when calling, break down what comes apart, and keep any loose weights with the frame so they travel as one lot. A machine with substantial metal content may also be worth offering to one of the recyclers the City lists for metal rather than sending it to disposal.
Champaign's curbside service belongs to licensed private haulers, and the City states that it collects neither trash nor recycling. Anything that will not fit the cart, including furniture, a mattress, an appliance or an exercise machine, is arranged with the hauler on the account rather than reported to the City.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
Any Champaign household or building that needs trash service, and the route for furniture, mattresses, appliances and other items the cart will not take.
Cost & conditions
Haulers set their own rates because the City provides no collection, so confirm the cart size, the collection day, the bulky item terms and the amount directly with the hauler. Curbside recycling is included with the trash service at no extra cost for buildings of four units or fewer.

Choose a licensed hauler, set up the account, and ask the same company about the oversized item rather than treating it as a separate municipal service.
The City does not regulate collection hours, and the hauler's rules decide what is picked up at the curb, so an item the hauler will not take needs one of the donation, receiving site or collection event routes instead.

Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+

Where do tires and motor oil go?+
Neither has a standing city drop off. Tires depend on occasional county collection events or a tire retailer, and some businesses will only take them when new tires are bought there.
