Tables and chairs
Choose the table, then add each chair separately. Coffee tables, side tables and dining tables have their own options. A large or substantially heavy table has a different choice.
Dressers and mirrors
Match the dresser’s overall size. Add a separate dresser mirror as its own item if it is leaving too. Empty drawers and keep the belongings you want before moving the dresser outside.
Desks and bookshelves
Choose by construction, not height alone. A basic desk is different from a heavy desk with a substantial body. A tall, lightweight bookcase can still be a standard bookshelf. Empty it first.

Furniture goes out with the regular weekly refuse collection as a bulk item while it weighs under 50 pounds, and the Village guide names small tables, chairs and other small furniture as the examples. A heavy sofa, a loaded dresser or anything else over that line drops out of the free bulk route and has to be scheduled with Flood Brothers before it will be collected.
City cost & eligibility
No charge. Included in the quarterly refuse service the Village bills to each household, with no additional charge for bulky items under 50 pounds set out on the normal collection day; heavier pieces are billed by Flood Brothers under its special collection pricing instead.
When & how
Put the piece at the curb by 6 a.m. on your weekly collection day, and call Flood Brothers at least 24 hours ahead if it weighs more than 50 pounds or if you are setting out several pieces at once.
Get it ready
Leave the item whole and reachable from the street, keep it out of the recycling cart, and make sure any bag or can you use for the rest of the load stays under 33 gallons and 50 pounds, because overloaded containers are left behind.
Out after 5 p.m. the night before, in before 6 a.m.
Refuse, recycling and yard waste are collected on the same day, once a week, Monday through Friday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., and the Village guide asks for material at the curb after 5 p.m. the day before but before 6 a.m. on the collection day. Your collection time may differ from the previous hauler's, so the curb window matters. Six holidays delay the rest of that week by one day: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Anything that does not fit the refuse cart has to be bagged or placed in a container no larger than 33 gallons and no heavier than 50 pounds, and containers must be watertight, non-corrodible, and fitted with handles and a lid. Overloaded bags are not collected, and recycling belongs in the green cart only, because material left in other containers is treated as refuse. A household that regularly runs over can rent an additional cart from Flood Brothers, and yard waste runs the first full week of April through the end of the second week in December with a three cart limit.

A household with a piece of furniture or a machine over 50 pounds, a mattress set heavier than the bulk line, or a large volume of material that the weekly truck will not take.
Cost & conditions
The Village guide says residents can contract individually with Flood Brothers for extra large items and large volumes such as construction or move out debris, and that the hauler sets prices and availability. Nothing is published, so the quote is the number that matters.
Arrange it
Call Flood Brothers at least 24 hours ahead, describe the item or the volume, and ask whether it goes on the refuse day or a separately scheduled day.
This is a private contract with the hauler rather than part of the quarterly Village refuse service, and it does not cover debris a contractor generates on a job, which stays the contractor's responsibility.
