The project is done. Get your space back.

The new bathroom is ready, but the old vanity is still outside. A replaced door is taking up space you need. Put those leftover items on a pickup plan, with the price settled and updates through the final haul-away.

Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

  1. Arrange the removal work

Have the fixture safely detached and any plumbing or electrical connections handled by an appropriate professional. We do not remove installed fixtures or perform demolition.

  2. Keep the booked items separate

Have the fixtures empty and ready at ground level. Keep them apart from rubble, loose renovation materials, tools and anything you want to keep.

  3. Show the outdoor handoff

Use a permitted outdoor spot with a clear path. Add a location photo and notes on your order page so the right entrance and the right items are easy to identify.

Construction and remodeling debris

Special rules apply

Remodeling and construction debris is not part of the weekly residential pickup, and Waste Management lists construction waste as unacceptable in the refuse container.

City cost & eligibility
The Village's refuse page gives no rate for construction or remodeling debris, and Waste Management names construction waste as not acceptable in the residential container. Debris from a project moves through a separate bag or container service, so confirm the current price and size with Waste Management before any material is set out.
When & how
Arrange the bag or container pickup before the project debris exists, because nothing waits for the weekly collection.
Get it ready
Keep construction debris out of the refuse cart, out of the recycling cart and out of the bulky item pile. The Village lists the Bagster bag and dumpster rental among the WM options residents use for larger projects.

With a new purchase

Bagster bag for a small debris load

Small kitchen or bathroom tear-outs and garage cleanouts that do not fit in the carts.

Cost & conditions
The bag is bought at a store and the collection is bought from WM, so the store price and the collection price are separate. Neither the Village nor WM publishes a fixed amount, so confirm the current collection price before filling the bag.
Arrange it
Buy the bag at a retailer, fill it with accepted debris, and schedule the collection with WM using the instructions printed on the bag.

Not for heavy material such as concrete, brick or dirt, and not a replacement for a container when a project fills more than one bag.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Orland Park runs no public drop-off site of its own, and the Village sends residents to Waste Management for the weekly collection. The closest public drop-off belongs to the Orland Township Highway Department at 16125 S. Wolf Road, where electronics, household appliances without refrigerant, scrap metal, paper and cardboard are accepted Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Village page also notes that no household hazardous waste event is scheduled at the moment. Anything the Township does not take, including furniture and mattresses, refrigerant appliances and construction debris, has to move through the weekly collection, a scheduled WM service or a rented container, so call ahead before loading a trailer. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Orland Park.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Orland Park?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Orland Park?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

How does Orland Park handle construction debris?

The Village's refuse page does not cover construction or remodeling debris, and Waste Management lists construction waste as not acceptable in the residential container. Projects use a separate bag or container service, so confirm the price and size before you start hauling.Official guidance

Can a Bagster bag handle a small remodel?

Who collects refuse and recycling in Orland Park?

Waste Management collects refuse, recycling and yard waste for households under contract with the Village. Residential collection happens only through that contract, so the hauler collects on the Village schedule rather than on an account a household arranges on its own, and no separate bulky item fee is published.Official guidance

How do I reach Waste Management in Orland Park?

Waste Management customer service for Orland Park is at (800) 964-8988. Use that number for missed pickups, extra carts, white goods and service questions, and check the Village page for weather delays and service updates.Official guidance

How do I find my collection day?

Collection runs once a week on a fixed day by address. The Village publishes a refuse collection day map and links the Waste Management schedule lookup, and carts plus any bulky item go out by 6:00 a.m. on that day.Official guidance

When is yard waste collected?

Yard waste runs weekly from April 1 through the second full week of December and goes in kraft paper bags, with brush cut into 4-foot lengths and bundled under 50 pounds. Sod, whole trees, stumps and dirt are not part of the program.Official guidance
