Bring items unboxed and free of excess packaging. On an older, larger television, take the television out of its wooden cabinet before the visit, because only the television itself is accepted. Batteries, light bulbs, fluorescent tubes, household cleaners, CDs, DVDs, cassette tapes, plastic bags and smoke detectors are turned away.
Remodeling and construction debris is not part of the weekly residential pickup, and Waste Management lists construction waste as unacceptable in the refuse container.
