The local disposal guide
Noblesville runs one citywide collection contract. Republic Services collects household trash once a week and recycling every other week from every residence inside the city limits, and each household gets one navy trash cart and one gray recycling cart, with a second trash cart available on request. The City sets the trash charge and adds it to the Noblesville Utilities bill rather than leaving the hauler to bill the household. The carts take bagged household garbage and loose recyclables only and everything has to fit with the lids closed, which is why a large item goes to the on-call bulk pickup that Republic schedules for a pre-paid charge per item, with mattresses and box springs allowed once they are bagged or fully wrapped. Electronics, appliances that still hold refrigerant and the rest of what the curb refuses go to the Hamilton County household hazardous waste center at 1717 Pleasant Street, which sits inside Noblesville and takes county households without charge apart from a fee on each television.

Electronics stay out of the carts and out of the bulk pickup and go to the Hamilton County center in Noblesville, where televisions carry a fee and most other devices are free.
Household project debris is limited to small bundles in the bulk pickup, and both the weekly cart and the county center refuse building material outright.
Large workout machines sit outside both the weekly carts and the county recycling programs, so the route depends on the size of the unit and what it is built from.
The handoff matters
Both carts go to the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the collection day, with trash bagged inside the navy cart, recycling loose in the gray cart, the lids closed and four feet of clearance from mailboxes, cars and fences.

Trash is collected every week in the navy cart while recycling is collected every other week in the gray cart on the same service day, and a household that consistently overfills the trash cart can ask the hauler for a second one.

Call Republic Services at least 48 hours before your collection day, describe the item and pay the per item charge in advance. The pickup is a scheduled collection rather than part of the weekly route, so the item waits at the house until the appointment is confirmed.Official guidance
The county center in Noblesville accepts refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers and window air conditioners at no charge once they are completely empty inside, and the City also points owners of freon items to an appliance recycler. An ordinary appliance such as a washer, dryer, stove or wine cooler goes in the on-call bulk pickup instead, because that pickup refuses anything that still holds refrigerant.Official guidance
They go to the Hamilton County center at 1717 Pleasant Street in Noblesville, which takes computers, monitors, printers, gaming systems and peripherals from county households and charges a fee on each television. Business and contractor loads are refused there, and neither the weekly carts nor the bulk pickup takes electronics.Official guidance
Only as a small bundled load in the on-call bulk pickup, where each bundle stays within the published length and weight limits and no nails or screws are showing. The weekly cart refuses demolition and building material and the county center refuses it too, so a larger project load has to be confirmed with a hauler or taken to a transfer station.Official guidance
Republic Services collects household trash and recycling under a contract with the City of Noblesville, and the service covers residences inside the city limits. The City bills the trash charge through Noblesville Utilities, so collection questions go to the hauler and billing questions go to the utility office.Official guidance
The hauler publishes the schedule for each address, so look up your collection day there and set the carts out by 7:00 a.m. Trash comes every week and recycling comes every other week on that same day, and a major holiday falling on a weekday moves the route one day later for the rest of the week.Official guidance
The trash charge arrives on the Noblesville Utilities bill rather than as a separate hauler invoice, and a household that qualifies for the utility discount also receives a reduction on the trash fee. Payment and billing questions go to Noblesville Utilities, whose office is at 197 Washington Street on weekdays.Official guidance
Registering is encouraged but not required, and residents are not turned away without it. Bring proof of Hamilton County residency such as a license, a tax form or a current utility bill, because the center accepts personal household material only and refuses business, contractor and out of county loads.Official guidance
Appliances that still hold refrigerant, electronics including televisions, tires, batteries, dirt, rock, brick, cement, oil based paint, hazardous or medical waste, large metal pieces and yard waste are refused, and the load has to stay within the published weight and length limits. Those items take the county drop off route or another operator instead.Official guidance
