Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

There is no published price for an exercise machine. The request form says an excessive pile is charged after a supervisor evaluates the site, and the 2026 rate sheet lists a residential special pick-up, late set-out and off-cycle charge of $52.90. Ask for the cost of your machine at 785-832-3032.
When & how
Ask before you move it. Confirm acceptance and a collection day, then meet the 4 p.m. deadline on the business day before your trash day.
Get it ready
Describe the machine, its dimensions and whether it comes apart. Take off any console, motor or battery and ask whether those parts follow the electronics route instead.
Lawrence schedules bulky items for your next trash day, and the request has to reach the city by 4 p.m. on the business day before that collection. A request sent later moves to the following week, and no bulky items are collected during a holiday week.
The request form asks you to place bulky items at the curb where your trash carts are normally set, and the city asks residents not to leave anything out before a collection is scheduled. Keep the pile clear of the cart, the sidewalk and the street so the crew can reach it.

The city publishes no per-item price for a bulky collection. Arrange it

Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
Enter the combined weight in pounds for your dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Booking rounds that total up to the next 10 lb unit: 25 lb uses three units. Stands, racks and benches are separate items and do not include the loose weights. Add each one that is going.
