Book the unwanted bags and boxes left after packing. Choose an available pickup day before you hand back the keys, and arrange to have them outside.

Count each trash bag or filled household box. Books and media go by the box. Clothes, bedding and shoes go by the filled bag. Toys packed together have a Box of toys choice. Ask us about unusually heavy or oversized bags and boxes first.
Empty cardboard is a different choice: choose single empty boxes or tied bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Compacted bales have their own weight-based choices and require loading-dock access. A Storage bin choice covers the empty bin itself; ask us to confirm the contents if they are going too.

Lawrence publishes a full bulk item list, and part of it is free. A group of smaller items is disposed of free of charge, limited to one item per household per week, and it covers things like a bicycle, a microwave, a ladder, a cot, a pallet, broken down cardboard boxes, small furniture and wooden or screen doors. Everything outside that free group is priced individually, and each additional item is priced as well.
The handoff matters
Each housing unit is allocated a single 65-gallon container that has to be pre-approved by the city, with the contractor as the only provider, and hauling and disposal for that container is free of charge. Trash must be securely bagged inside it with the lid properly closed. Households needing more room can buy marked overflow bags with a 33-gallon capacity in packages of five, or buy an additional container, which only the property owner may purchase and which carries an annual service charge.
