Harford County does not provide curbside bulky collection. Ask your private hauler about furniture pickup, or self-haul household furniture and mattresses to the county disposal center.

Mattresses and box springs as charged household waste.
Residential county customers only. Bring a valid Maryland driver’s license and vehicle registration showing a current Harford County address. Confirm vehicle eligibility and unload before closing; scale loads must arrive before 2:45 p.m.
Monday-Saturday 7 a.m.-3 p.m.; unload and exit by 3 p.m.
From $8 per qualifying car or SUV visit with household trash. Harford residents; qualifying pickups, passenger vans and trailers cost $11 each. Vehicles towing a loaded trailer pay both charges. Cooling devices cost $10 each. Other approved vehicles use $117 per ton with an $11 minimum.
Only wishlist furniture approved by the donation coordinator. Upholstered furniture and mattresses require photos and advance approval.
Volunteer pickup is limited to Harford County. Approved items must be outside in front of the home or in a garage; volunteers cannot enter. Confirm the current wishlist and exact item before moving it. This is not a disposal service.
Request a pickup date. The provider posts a typical 1-2 week volunteer waitlist, updated June 2, 2026; timing depends on volunteers and capacity. Confirm onsite delivery hours separately.
No charge. Approved wishlist donations collected by Fresh Start volunteers in Harford County. A monetary contribution is requested. Separate ReSupply pickup has its own provider-set price.

You can choose an offered pickup day around your replacement delivery. First check whether the retailer already includes old-mattress removal, and arrange who will bring it outside if needed.
