Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Remodeling and construction debris

Not on the regular city route

Construction items are refused in the city bulk pickup and refused at NoHaz. The spring landfill days accept wood and demolition items, but they exclude concrete, asphalt, stones, earth, logs, stumps and branches, so most project loads need a permitted facility or a rented container.

City cost & eligibility
The city publishes no construction rate. A qualifying household load at the spring landfill days is free, and the container or landfill company quotes anything larger, so confirm the load, the classification and the price before hauling.
When & how
Watch for the city's spring landfill days, which run on selected Saturdays, and confirm the current season's dates because the published April and May 2026 dates have passed.
Get it ready
Keep construction material out of the curbside pile and keep hazardous material out of a debris load. Separate clean wood from concrete and soil, and ask the receiving site how it wants each category before you load the truck.

City of Pontiac curbside service through Priority Waste

Take electronics and chemicals to a NoHaz event

A Pontiac household with a television, computer, monitor or printer, plus paint, batteries, motor oil and other household chemicals that cannot go in the cart.

Cost & conditions
No charge. Pontiac residents attend NoHaz events free with pre-registration, but construction and demolition waste is refused, so this route only covers household paint and chemicals from a project.
Arrange it
Watch for the county's event schedule, register at NoHaz.Eventbrite.com about three weeks ahead, then drive to the event site between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the event Saturday with electronics separated from paint and chemicals.

No appliances except microwaves, no refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners or dehumidifiers because they contain Freon, no construction and demolition waste, no tires, no wood, no general recyclables and no business or contractor material. The 2026 events are finished and the next season is announced in February.

A Pontiac household with furniture, carpet, wood or demolition items, or tires, that can be unloaded by hand from a car, SUV or pickup.

Cost & conditions
From $3 per tire at the spring landfill days, with the household load itself free when it fits the published rules. Pontiac residents with proof of residency, loads no larger than 3 cubic yards, cars, SUVs and pickup trucks only, no dump trucks, commercial haulers or trailer loads. Children stay inside the vehicle and the resident unloads the load.
Arrange it
Drive to the Transfer Station at 575 Collier Road between 7 a.m. and noon on a landfill day Saturday, show proof of residency, and unload the material yourself.

Yard waste, concrete, asphalt, stones, earth, logs, stumps, branches, large car parts, gas tanks, batteries, propane tanks and hazardous liquids such as paint, fuel, chemicals and cleaners are excluded. The published 2026 dates have passed, so confirm the current season before loading.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Pontiac's own drop-off windows both sit inside the city. The spring landfill days at the Transfer Station on 575 Collier Road run 7 a.m. to noon on selected Saturdays for residents with proof of residency, taking furniture, carpet, wood and demolition items, appliances without Freon and tires at $3 each inside a 3 cubic yard limit, with no trailers or commercial vehicles. Household recyclables go to the City Hall auxiliary parking lot, where the gates are open Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the accepted list is paper, cardboard, plastics marked #1 or #2, glass bottles and jars and metal cans. Electronics, paint and household chemicals go to the Oakland County NoHaz events instead, which are free for Pontiac residents with pre-registration. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Pontiac.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Pontiac?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Pontiac?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Will Pontiac take construction debris at the curb?

No. Construction items are on the list that special pickup will not collect, and NoHaz refuses construction and demolition waste as well. The spring landfill days take wood and demolition items with proof of residency, but concrete, asphalt, stones, earth and stumps are excluded.Official guidance

Where does a remodeling load go in Pontiac?

Not in the curbside bulk pile, because construction items are refused there, and not to NoHaz, which refuses construction and demolition waste. The spring landfill days accept wood and demolition items from residents but exclude concrete, asphalt, stones, earth, stumps and branches, so a larger project load needs a permitted facility or a rented container.Official guidance
