Certified Recycling charges per item on the curbside pickup and accepts some electronics such as desktop computers, laptops and cell phones at no charge, with the city covering the trip charge while promotional funds last.

Get it ready
Keep these items out of the curbside recycling cart, weigh them before you load them into the electronics container, and hand small items such as a cell phone to a staff member. Large floor standing equipment is refused, including floor standing copiers, treadmills and elliptical machines. Laser printer cartridges are refused, and only the ink jet type is accepted.
Products marked caution, warning, danger or poison do not belong in the trash or in a bulky load. Paint thinner, solvents, gasoline, aerosol cans with contents, pesticides, mercury and similar items go to the Anoka County Household Hazardous Waste Facility at 3230 101st Avenue NE in Blaine, which is free for residents of Anoka and several neighboring metro counties and does not accept appliances, electronics or tires. The Recycling Center takes empty propane tanks, batteries, used motor oil, oil filters and antifreeze instead.
