A few pieces, one pickup

Your room has changed. The old furniture can go.

The desk you no longer use. The dresser that doesn’t fit the new layout. The chairs left over after a move. Choose the pieces you’re done with and give them a pickup day, without arranging a quote visit.

Different pieces. One clear total.

Add each furniture item and its quantity. See the combined price before you pay, with loading, transportation and disposal included.

Choose each piece

A table and four chairs are five items.

You don’t need to guess how much space your furniture fills in a truck. Match each piece to the catalog, then add its quantity. Your total updates as you go.

Tables and chairs

Choose the table, then add each chair separately. Coffee tables, side tables and dining tables have their own options. A large or substantially heavy table has a different choice.

Dressers and mirrors

Match the dresser’s overall size. Add a separate dresser mirror as its own item if it is leaving too. Empty drawers and keep the belongings you want before moving the dresser outside.

Desks and bookshelves

Choose by construction, not height alone. A basic desk is different from a heavy desk with a substantial body. A tall, lightweight bookcase can still be a standard bookshelf. Empty it first.

Couches, sofas and household furniture

Not on the regular city route

Wood, glass and upholstered furniture of any kind is refused at the city Recycling Center, so a couch, loveseat, recliner, dresser or table goes to the city's discounted curbside bulky pickup, to Dem-Con in Blaine, or to a reuse partner when it is still in good condition.

City cost & eligibility
Certified Recycling charges per piece on the curbside pickup, from a stuffed chair and an ottoman up through loveseats, couches, recliners and hideaway beds, with sectional couches priced by size and function; the city covers the trip charge while promotional funds last. Dem-Con Blaine charges a lower price for small furniture such as a bed frame, chair, dresser or single couch and a higher price for bulky furniture such as a sectional, hide-a-bed, piano or pool table, and a furniture load whose per-item total passes the published threshold moves to the household ton rate. Bridging and ReStore Twin Cities accept qualifying donations at no charge. Confirm the price before you arrange anything.
When & how
Call Certified Recycling at 952-894-1448 and ask about the Coon Rapids promotion, or drive to Dem-Con Blaine, 3280 99th Ct. NE, Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Bridging's nearest donation drop-off is in Roseville, and ReStore Twin Cities also accepts donations; both list their own hours.
Get it ready
Metal bed frames and metal shelving are accepted in the Recycling Center's scrap metal bins once the non-metal parts, wheels and handles are removed. For donation the item should be clean, in working condition and free of rips, tears and odors, and each partner publishes a list of what it cannot take. Keep the item dry, because a wet furniture item carries an added charge on both paid routes.

Arrange a large-item pickup with the hauler you already use

Coon Rapids uses open hauling, so you choose one of five licensed haulers: Ace Solid Waste, Curbside Waste, Republic Services, Walter's Recycling or Waste Management. Every hauler provides trash and recycling, and the city assigns each neighborhood a collection day so trucks come down the street once a week. Ask your hauler about a large-item pickup and its price, and keep that arrangement separate from your regular cart collection.

Cost & conditions
Prices are published for public drop-off at the Blaine location and are subject to change, with solid waste taxes added and a possible fuel charge. Furniture, mattresses and appliances carry per-item prices, and a furniture load whose per-item total passes the published threshold moves to the household waste ton rate, which also has a minimum charge. Drive to 3280 99th Ct. NE, Blaine, MN 55449, open Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hours can change in holiday weeks, so call ahead. The metal recycling yard is next door at 3360 99th Ct. NE.

Certified Recycling curbside bulky pickup

Mattresses and box springs, furniture, appliances, electronics and exercise machines collected from the curb by appointment through the city's promotion.

Cost & conditions
A per-item price applies, and there is a single-truck charge on top of it. The city covers the trip charge while promotional funds last, and the covered amount is described on the city page as a forty dollar value, while the published price page and the current price sheet state different figures for the truck charge. Payment is cash, check or card, and a credit or debit payment adds a processing fee. Confirm the total when you schedule.
Arrange it
Call 952-894-1448 and tell the company you are calling about the Coon Rapids promotion, then book a pickup time. The company is at 14305 Ewing Ave. S., Burnsville, MN 55306, and answers the phone Monday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The promotion covers the trip charge only and runs while funds last, so the per-item price and the single-truck charge still apply. A mattress, box spring or furniture item found soaked or excessively wet carries an added per-unit charge, and a credit or debit payment adds a processing fee.

Donate usable furniture

Clean, working furniture and some working appliances that a reuse partner will accept instead of sending them for disposal.

Cost & conditions
No charge. Bridging and ReStore Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity accept qualifying donations at no charge, and both also offer pickup for a fee. Each partner publishes its own list of what it cannot take.
Arrange it
Bridging's nearest donation drop-off is in Roseville and it also picks up for a fee. ReStore Twin Cities takes some working appliances, new building supplies and good-condition furniture, with drop-off and pickup from a home available. Check each partner's donation guidelines before you load.

Donations must be clean and in good working condition, with no rips, tears or odors, and both partners publish lists of items they refuse. Furniture that cannot be donated goes to Dem-Con in Blaine, because the city Recycling Center refuses wood, glass and upholstered furniture.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Furniture removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Coon Rapids.

How much does furniture removal cost in Coon Rapids?

Choose the type and size of each piece to see its price. For example, a medium dresser is $79 as the first item or $29 as an additional item. Your total starts with the highest first-item price in your selection, then uses the additional-item price for every other item. Review the complete total and any applicable tax before payment.

Can I get same-day furniture pickup in Coon Rapids?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup and choose from the dates shown at checkout. Arrange to have the furniture outside according to your confirmation. You receive a text when your hauler is on the way and photos after collection.

Will you remove furniture from inside my apartment?

Dropcurb starts outside. You arrange indoor carrying, including any interior stairs or elevator trip. We load and take away the furniture from an accessible outdoor location. Check your building’s rules and plan the route out before booking.

Can you take several different furniture items in one pickup?

Yes. Add each piece and its quantity to one booking. A dining table and four chairs are five items; a separate mirror is not included with a dresser. You can mix eligible items from different rooms and review their combined total before paying.

Do I need to take furniture apart before pickup?

You arrange any disassembly needed to move the furniture out of your home and into an accessible outdoor pickup spot. Dropcurb does not provide indoor disassembly or carrying. If you are unsure which catalog choice matches a dismantled or unusual piece, send a photo and ask before booking.

Will the city Recycling Center take a couch or a dresser?

No. The Recycling Center does not accept wood, glass or upholstered furniture of any kind, including couches, loveseats, recliners, tables, dressers, office chairs and shelving units. Use the city's discounted curbside bulky pickup, Dem-Con in Blaine, or a donation partner such as Bridging or ReStore.Official guidance

Which hauler serves my Coon Rapids address?

Coon Rapids uses open hauling, so you choose from five licensed haulers: Ace Solid Waste, Curbside Waste, Republic Services, Walter's Recycling and Waste Management. Every hauler provides trash and recycling, and the city assigns each neighborhood a collection day so trucks come down your street once a week. Contact the hauler directly to set up service.Official guidance

Who can use the Coon Rapids Recycling Center?

The Recycling Center is open to Anoka County residents, and clean white Styrofoam is accepted from anyone in Minnesota because that program is funded by a state grant. A limited number of programs may be available to local small businesses case by case, and the site has no public trash bin, so anything that is refused travels home with you.Official guidance

Where do paint, gasoline and other household chemicals go?

Products marked caution, warning, danger or poison go to the Anoka County Household Hazardous Waste Facility at 3230 101st Avenue NE in Blaine, which is free for residents of Anoka and several neighboring metro counties and does not accept appliances, electronics, tires or trash. Keep them out of the curbside carts and out of any bulky load.Official guidance
