Small appliances are charged by the pound and vacuums per unit, and ammonia appliances are refused. Certified Recycling charges per appliance on the discounted curbside pickup with the city covering the trip charge while promotional funds last, and Dem-Con Blaine charges its own per-appliance price for public drop-off.

Get it ready
Empty and defrost the unit, remove the doors if the receiving site asks, and keep ammonia appliances out of the load because the Recycling Center refuses them. The appliance containers sit near the exit on the north side of the yard, and the payment form is inside the container and goes to the cashier building. Staff cannot help unload, so bring enough hands for a large unit and park in a marked space rather than the drive lane.
Arrange a large-item pickup with the hauler you already use
Coon Rapids uses open hauling, so you choose one of five licensed haulers: Ace Solid Waste, Curbside Waste, Republic Services, Walter's Recycling or Waste Management. Every hauler provides trash and recycling, and the city assigns each neighborhood a collection day so trucks come down the street once a week. Ask your hauler about a large-item pickup and its price, and keep that arrangement separate from your regular cart collection.
Products marked caution, warning, danger or poison do not belong in the trash or in a bulky load.
