Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

Anything too large for the cart is arranged with a private hauler, and the city says some haulers take certain bulky items at the curb for a fee. The regional drop-off sites take the same material by the item.

No bulky item price is published. Summit Transfer charges for every accepted item except cans, paper, cardboard, plastic bottles and glass, Courtney Ridge Landfill and Blue Springs Scrap Metal quote at the gate, and a hauler sets its own curbside charge, so confirm the item and the amount before you load.

Get it ready
Keep the load to household material and leave tires, paint, chemicals, appliances that still hold refrigerant and construction rubble out of a curbside pile. At the park, recycling of cans, paper, cardboard, plastic bottles and glass is free to any Kansas City metro resident and everything else is charged.
A treadmill or elliptical is bulky rather than trash. Summit Transfer lists large exercise equipment among the material it accepts for a fee, City Thrift takes machines that are ten years old or newer as donations, and a private hauler may take one at the curb.

No route publishes a price for an exercise machine. Summit Transfer charges by the item and a hauler quotes the curbside collection, so confirm the machine and the amount with the site you choose.

The regional park in Lee's Summit and the landfill in Sugar Creek take mattresses, televisions, appliances and other oversized material by the item, and Pink Hill Acres in Blue Springs takes construction debris. Hours are by contact at every one of them, and paint, batteries and other hazardous products go to the regional collection program instead.

Each company sets its own subscription price and any charge for an extra item. The city publishes the hauler list and notes that yard waste, bulky pickup and curbside recycling may cost extra, so confirm the price and the included items with the company you choose.

Call the companies on the city list, confirm the collection day and what the service includes, and set material out only on the agreed day.
The subscription covers ordinary household material. Certain bulky items cost extra, and hazardous material, electronics and appliances are not ordinary household trash.
Blue Springs runs no collection and no public landfill of its own, so self-haul here means choosing between the private haulers on the city list and the regional drop-off sites.
