Choose by the type of equipment. A brand name does not mean a different item, but a walking pad and a full treadmill do.
Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

A pickup day is not an exact arrival window. Tell us before booking about a shared loading area, restricted outdoor access or equipment whose size or setup you are unsure how to select.

City cost & eligibility
The city defines bulky items as normal household items too large for a roll cart and does not name exercise equipment, so call the Contact Center at 573.874.2489 and confirm whether the machine qualifies for a large item collection, and how many items it counts as.
When & how
Call 573.874.2489 first, and if the machine is accepted book the pickup in the app or by phone and put it at the curb by 7:30 a.m. on the scheduled day.
Get it ready
Break the machine down where you can, keep it out of the roll cart and the recycling bags, and remove any battery before it goes out.
Everything goes in the roll cart, out by 6:30 a.m. and back by 10 p.m.
All refuse goes in the city-provided roll cart with the lid closed, an overflowing cart is not emptied, bags left on the curb are not picked up, and only regular household trash and yard waste belong in the cart. Carts go to the curb no earlier than 4 p.m. the day before the collection day and no later than 6:30 a.m. on the collection day, and they come back in no later than 10 p.m. that day. The carts are city property assigned to the address and carry barcodes.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

From $21.5 for for the first item in a scheduled bulky item collection after the one free bulky item each household receives each year, with each additional item in the same collection charged 5 dollars. City of Columbia residential curbside customers, with multi-family homes not eligible and all charges added to the monthly utility bill.
Arrange it
Book the pickup in the CoMo Recycle and Trash app under Large Item Collection or call 573.874.2489, put the item at the curb by 7:30 a.m. on the scheduled day, and cancel by phone if it is no longer needed so the fee is not added.
Multi-family homes are not eligible, building material, felled trees, large automobile parts, hazardous materials and items two people cannot handle are prohibited, and the pile has to be at the curb rather than in the street.

Cost & conditions
From $12.87 per month for the 35 gallon roll cart, with the 65 gallon cart at 17.37 per month and the 95 gallon cart at 22.50 per month. City of Columbia residential curbside customers, with one free cart exchange within the first 120 days and a 25 dollar fee per cart after that.

Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
