Get it ready
Take the piece down as far as it will go and keep cushions with the frame. Leave treated wood and treated wooden outdoor furniture off the pile, because the town refuses treated wood of any kind, and remember that two chairs or two small tables count as one item while a three cushion sofa counts as one sofa.
Bulk pickup runs on Mondays and is booked by Sunday midnight
The town's bulk and brush service collects on Mondays starting at 7 a.m., and it moves to Tuesday when a holiday falls on a Monday. The request and the payment have to be made through the town's online form before midnight on Sunday, and a request that is cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup brings a refund within 60 days.
Three feet from obstacles and five feet under the branches
Place bulk items and brush piles at least three feet from carts, mailboxes, power poles, vehicles and other obstacles, and keep brush five to six feet away from overhead trees and power lines. Nothing may block a sidewalk, roadway or gutter, and leaves go out only in brown paper bags holding 25 to 35 gallons and no more than 25 pounds each.
