From $40 for for two standard bulk items in one Monday request, which is also the minimum charge for any request, with each additional standard item charged on its own line. Town of Huntersville residential addresses only. The town does not offer bulk pickup at apartment complexes, businesses or corporations, or at any address outside the town limits, and the request has to be scheduled and paid before midnight on Sunday.
When & how
Collected on Mondays starting at 7 a.m., and moved to Tuesday when a holiday falls on a Monday. Book and pay through the town's online bulk item and brush pile request form by the Sunday midnight deadline so the pieces make that week's run.
Get it ready
Have the mattress and box spring at the curb by 7 a.m. and at least three feet from carts, mailboxes, poles and vehicles. Count the pieces as separate items when you price the request, and keep the load to a few pieces, because the town states that a request it considers too large will be refused.
Bulk pickup runs on Mondays and is booked by Sunday midnight
The town's bulk and brush service collects on Mondays starting at 7 a.m., and it moves to Tuesday when a holiday falls on a Monday. The request and the payment have to be made through the town's online form before midnight on Sunday, and a request that is cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup brings a refund within 60 days.
Three feet from obstacles and five feet under the branches
Place bulk items and brush piles at least three feet from carts, mailboxes, power poles, vehicles and other obstacles, and keep brush five to six feet away from overhead trees and power lines. Nothing may block a sidewalk, roadway or gutter, and leaves go out only in brown paper bags holding 25 to 35 gallons and no more than 25 pounds each.

Up to five bags of household kitchen trash a day are free to county residents.
Arrange it
Load the vehicle and drive to a full-service center, the closest being the North Mecklenburg center at 12300 Statesville Road in Huntersville, open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. County residents show a free blue entry sticker and proof of residency, and payment is by debit or most major credit cards, with no cash or checks accepted.
