When & how
Use a multi-material recycling facility on a weekday or Saturday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., or bring batteries, bulbs and electronics to the town's Green Day drive-through in the spring or fall.

Wipe personal data before a computer or phone leaves the house, remove batteries where they are separately collected, and keep electronics out of the bulk pile because the town lists them as unacceptable.
The bulk week refuses white goods, electronics and building material
The unacceptable list is the reason the other routes exist in this packet. Building and construction materials such as bricks, concrete, blocks, pavers, drywall, kitchen cabinets, tiles, porcelain sinks or toilets, aluminium siding, doors, windows, insulation and fencing are refused, as are electronics such as computers, monitors, scanners and televisions, which the town says need to be recycled, household hazardous materials such as paint, fuel, chemicals, batteries, fluorescent lights, motor oil and cooking oils, household recyclables, propane, oxygen and helium tanks, lithium batteries, microwaves, tires and rims, treated lumber and wood pallets, white goods such as washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, stoves and air conditioning units, and yard waste of any kind. White goods have their own quarterly town collection by registration, electronics and appliances go to the county's multi-material recycling facilities, tires to the county's scrap tire facilities, and chemicals to the county's household hazardous waste facilities.

Arrange it
Use the North Wake facility at 9029 Deponie Drive in Raleigh or the South Wake facility at 6130 Old Smithfield Road in Apex, both open Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., or the East Wake facility in Wendell which opens Saturday and Sunday only.
Liquids must be pourable and no drums are accepted, scrap metal and wood pallets are only taken at the North and South sites with pallets limited to ten, the sites are closed on the listed holidays, and scavenging or exchanging material on site is prohibited.

The town publishes the drive-through recycling of batteries, bulbs and electronics at its Green Day events in the spring and fall but no dates and no fee, so confirm the next event with Public Works before loading a vehicle.
Arrange it
Watch for the spring and fall Green Day dates and bring the items to the drive-through, or drop cooking oil in the designated cabinet at the Public Works office at any time.
The events run only twice a year and the retained pages do not publish their dates, and the list is limited to batteries, bulbs and electronics with microwaves accepted at the event rather than in the white goods collection.

Where can I recycle a television in Morrisville?+
