You want to know it is handled.
When the next collection does not fit your plans, choose a Dropcurb pickup day. Updates keep you informed, and completion photos show when the booked items are gone.
A few simple choices turn a mixed pile into a clear booking. No need to estimate how much of a truck it might fill.
Filled bags and boxes
Count each trash bag or filled household box. Books and media go by the box. Clothes, bedding and shoes go by the filled bag. Toys packed together have a Box of toys choice. Ask us about unusually heavy or oversized bags and boxes first.
Empty cardboard and containers
Empty cardboard is a different choice: choose single empty boxes or tied bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Compacted bales have their own weight-based choices and require loading-dock access. A Storage bin choice covers the empty bin itself; ask us to confirm the contents if they are going too.
Furniture and other larger items
Add the actual larger item alongside your bags and boxes, such as a sofa, chair or mattress. It has its own price and preparation. Keep construction materials and items needing special handling out of ordinary household bags.

Bellevue's bulky route is a scheduled pickup rather than a set-out morning: the hauler sends a different truck and charges for it, but each household gets two free bulk pickups a year for items up to 60 pounds and about four by two feet. The city adds a spring and fall cleanup where oversize or bulky items can be taken for disposal at no additional fee, and anything the trucks refuse has to leave through one of the named drop-offs instead.
City cost & eligibility
No charge. Two free bulk curbside pickups a year per household for items not exceeding 60 pounds and about four by two feet, as published in the hauler's Bellevue guide, plus the city's spring and fall cleanups where oversize or bulky items can be taken at no additional fee; anything beyond that is a paid large item pickup.
When & how
Call Papillion Sanitation on 402-346-7800 to book the bulk pickup and confirm whether it counts against the two free ones, then put the load at the curb by 7 a.m. on the assigned day.
Get it ready
Keep every item out of the carts because the trucks only handle what fits with the lid closed, keep the pile clear of poles and mailboxes with the carts two feet apart, and leave appliances, tires, paint, solvents, motor oil, antifreeze and car batteries out of the load because they cannot go to the landfill.
Carts go to the curb the night before or by 7 a.m. on the service day, four feet away from poles and mailboxes, two feet apart from each other, with the lids completely closed. The automated trucks can only lift what fits inside the cart, so anything left beside the cart is not collected unless it is a booked bulky pickup or a bag of yard waste during the season. Disabled customers can request walk-up service with a form from the hauler.
Furniture and mattresses do not go out on the normal morning because the hauler sends a different truck and charges a fee for the service. Each household has two free bulk pickups a year for items up to 60 pounds and about four by two feet, booked on 402-346-7800, and anything above those limits is a paid large item pickup. Mattresses and box springs have to be wrapped in plastic before collection, and the city adds free spring and fall cleanups for oversize material.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Use one of the two free bulk pickups
A household with a couch, a chair, a mattress or another piece that fits inside the published weight and size limits.
Cost & conditions
No charge. Two free bulk curbside pickups a year per household, for items not exceeding 60 pounds and about four by two feet, scheduled directly with the hauler.
Arrange it
Call Papillion Sanitation on 402-346-7800, describe the item, book the pickup against one of the two free allowances, then set the piece at the curb by 7 a.m. on the assigned day with the mattress wrapped in plastic if that is the load.
The allowance is two pickups a year and the size and weight limits are firm, appliances and tires cannot be included at any price, and the regular trucks do not collect anything left outside a cart without a booking.
City of Bellevue with Papillion Sanitation and Recycling Services
Book a paid large item pickup
A household with a piece bigger than the free limits, or one that has already used both free pickups for the year.
Cost & conditions
The hauler states that a large item curbside pickup may be scheduled for a fee but publishes no amount, and the free allowance is limited to two pickups a year for items up to 60 pounds and about four by two feet. Confirm the current charge on 402-346-7800 when the pickup is booked.
Arrange it
Call Papillion Sanitation on 402-346-7800, give the weight and dimensions of the item, and book the paid pickup for a day the different truck runs the route.
This is a private fee paid to the contractor rather than a city fee, appliances and tires are still refused, and the item has to be at the curb by 7 a.m. on the assigned day.

Wait for the spring or fall cleanup
A household that can hold an oversize load until the city runs one of its two cleanups.
Cost & conditions
No charge. The city holds a spring and fall cleanup where oversize or bulky items may be taken for disposal at no additional fee, as published in the hauler's Bellevue guide.
Arrange it
The city posts the next date in its civic alerts, which show the fall clean-up on Saturday October 10, 2026, so check the alerts for the current date and the site, then bring the oversize items to the location the city names on the day it runs.
The city publishes the upcoming date in its civic alerts but not the site or the accepted list, so confirm the location and what is taken before loading, and the same refusals for appliances, tires and hazardous material still apply.

Haul the load to the Sarpy County Transfer Station
A household that would rather move an oversize or mixed load itself, including material the curbside programme will not take.
Cost & conditions
The hauler's Bellevue guide names the transfer station for self hauled loads and tells residents to call for hours and pricing, because the county sets its own charges. Confirm the current terms on 402-253-2371 before loading.
Arrange it
Call the Sarpy County Transfer Station on 402-253-2371 for hours and pricing, then deliver the load to 14414 S 156th St.
This is a county facility rather than a city service, the city publishes no rate for it, and construction debris and tires are not named on any Bellevue page, so confirm those loads specifically before a trip.

Before you book
A few things worth knowing.
Bulk junk removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Bellevue.
How much does bulk junk removal cost in Bellevue?+
A trash bag is $59 as the first item and $10 additional. A filled household box is $59 as the first item. Add your actual items and quantities to see the combined price before booking. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; any applicable sales tax is shown before payment.
Can you pick up bags of junk today?+
Book by 2pm in the pickup address’s local time for same-day pickup. Available dates appear at checkout. Have the booked bags and boxes outside and accessible according to your confirmation. You receive pickup updates and completion photos; the booking is for a day rather than an exact arrival time.
Do I count every object inside a bag or box?+
No. Count the filled bags or boxes using the matching choice. Books and media go in Filled household box; clothes, bedding and shoes go in Bag of clothes & bedding; packed toys have a Box of toys choice. Empty cardboard is separate, with individual empty boxes and bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Heavy, oversized or unusual contents need a photo review before booking.
Can you pick up a small loose pile of household junk?+
Yes. Estimate how many trash bags the small household pile would fill, and bag or box as much as possible. Select furniture and other larger items separately. There is no extra charge just because the pile is loose. Send a photo first if the count or contents are unclear. A household Dumpster Bag choice does not accept construction debris.
Can I book bags, boxes and furniture together?+
Yes. Select the bags and boxes, then add each larger item using its own catalog choice. The booking shows one combined price for the selected items. Move everything to an accessible outdoor spot before pickup; indoor carrying and sorting are not included. Keep anything you want to retain apart from the booked items and identify what goes in your photos and notes.
How many free bulk pickups do I get in Bellevue?+
Two a year per household, for items not exceeding 60 pounds and about four by two feet, booked with Papillion Sanitation. Anything larger or any additional load is a paid large item pickup, and the city's spring and fall cleanups take oversize or bulky items at no additional fee.Official guidance
What size item can go out for bulk pickup in Bellevue?+
The free allowance covers pieces up to 60 pounds and about four by two feet. Larger items can still be collected, but only as a scheduled large item pickup for a fee, and the same truck has to be arranged in advance either way because the regular collection trucks only lift what fits inside the carts.Official guidance
Who collects trash in Bellevue?+
Papillion Sanitation and Recycling Services does, under the city contract for single-family and duplex homes inside the city limits, with the bill appearing on the household's MUD account. Bellevue Public Works answers programme questions on 402-293-3135 and the hauler's customer line is 402-346-7800.Official guidance
Which carts does Bellevue issue and how is the bill set?+
Three carts: a blue one for landfill trash, a green one for recycling and a brown one for yard waste. They come in 35, 65 and 95 gallon sizes, the bill is based only on the size of the landfill trash cart, and the recycling and yard waste carts are included in that price. Additional carts cost a monthly fee and personal cans are not allowed.Official guidance
When does yard waste collection run in Bellevue?+
April 1 through November 30 in the free brown cart, with leaves, lawn clippings, prunings, weeds and dead plant material, and bio bags up to 40 pounds allowed beside the cart as long as the cart is out too. From December 1 through March 31 the brown cart can be used for landfill trash, and the free tree dump opens on the last Saturday of each month for limbs.Official guidance
Does a holiday delay collection in Bellevue?+
Only when the holiday falls on or before your pickup day during the week, in which case the service slips by one day. Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day are the six dates the city lists, and weekend holidays leave the schedule untouched. Weather delays are posted by the hauler.Official guidance
