Appliances are the core of the village's own bulk list: refrigerators, freezers, ovens, stoves, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, hot water heaters and air conditioners are all named, along with swing sets, barbecues, steel file cabinets, lawnmowers and bicycles. They go out on the second collection day with no appointment.

When & how

Empty the appliance, keep it upright where you can, tape or tie loose doors, and keep it out of the street so the crew can reach it from the curb.
Collections run between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and the village asks residents to put refuse at the curb after 6 p.m. the night before the scheduled day. Material set out after 7 a.m. on the morning of pickup is treated as a late set out and may be left behind. Cans go at the curb eighteen inches from the property with covers on top.
The village collects bulk material once a week on the second collection day, with no appointment and no fee, and the test is size and handling: larger than two feet by two feet by four feet and beyond what two workers can lift. Each address is limited to six bulk items and pails of construction debris each week, so a household clearing several rooms should plan the order rather than putting everything out at once.
