Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.
Toilets
Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.
Bathroom vanities
Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

White Plains does not collect household renovation debris such as doors, fencing, siding, toilets or bathtubs. The county's Household Material Recovery Facility refuses construction and demolition debris too, so a project load is a contractor arrangement or a licensed private transfer station.
City cost & eligibility
There is no city collection and no city rate for renovation debris, and the county facility refuses construction and demolition material. The city points residents to their contractor or to the county's list of licensed private transfer stations and processing facilities, which quote their own charges.

Get it ready
Keep renovation material out of the curbside pile and off the recycling bins, keep liquids, paint and chemicals out of a debris load, and separate clean wood or masonry if the receiving facility asks for it.

White Plains residents have a city yard and a county facility for what the trucks will not take. The Gedney Recycling Yard at 87 Gedney Way is for residents only, with ID shown at the gate house and no commercial loads, and it takes household paper and co-mingled recycling, small non-automotive scrap metal by drop-off only, textiles, small electronics and televisions under 55 inches. Large metal items and white goods such as refrigerators, stoves and boilers need a scheduled curbside appointment through Sanitation at 914-422-1217 instead, and the city stores those items at the yard in the meantime. For paint, chemicals, fluorescent bulbs, tires, rechargeable batteries, refrigerant appliances and document shredding, the county runs the Household Material Recovery Facility at 15 Woods Road in Valhalla, open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. by appointment only, with reservations made online or through the Recycling Helpline at (914) 813-5425. Renovation debris is outside all of this: the city does not collect doors, fencing, siding, toilets or bathtubs, and the county refuses construction and demolition debris, so that load goes to a licensed private transfer station. Household paints, stains, wood preservatives, pesticides and other hazardous chemicals from a project.
Westchester County residents only, by appointment with photo ID, and construction and demolition debris including wood and shingles is refused here. Keep paint cans in leak proof bins during transport and bring chemicals in labelled containers.
Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. by appointment, with reservations available up to two weeks ahead. The Recycling Helpline answers seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at (914) 813-5425.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?+
Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.
