Standard sofas, sleepers and sectionals have different choices. Find the one that matches.
Couch & furniture removal in MustangCity collection Furniture is not named on the city's own published lists, so a couch or sofa is a confirmation rather than a promised pickup: the city runs spring and autumn bulk clean-up weeks for residential sanitation customers and keeps a year-round roll-off at the public works yard, and City Hall confirms what the crews will take. No separate fee is published for the clean-up weeks, and the ordinance says special collection charges are set by resolution and added to the monthly utility bill, so confirm with City Hall at 376-4521 that a couch or other furniture qualifies as a bulky item and what it costs before relying on either route for a large load.

Mattress & bed removal in MustangCity collection No Mustang list names a mattress, so a mattress has to be confirmed as an eligible bulky item before it goes to the kerb or to the roll-off container. The city publishes no mattress rule and no rate, so confirm with City Hall at 376-4521 whether a mattress counts as an eligible bulky item in the clean-up weeks and whether the roll-off will take one.

Appliance pickup in MustangCity collection Refrigerated appliances are accepted during the clean-up weeks, and the spring flyer requires the Freon to be removed and a certification attached before the unit goes out. The city publishes no fee for the clean-up weeks, and the spring flyer attaches a Freon certification condition that the fall article and flyer do not repeat, so confirm the preparation requirement and any charge with City Hall at 376-4521 before the unit goes out.

The local disposal guide
Mustang runs its own sanitation service. About 8,100 residential and commercial customers get curbside pickup once a week, with poly carts at the kerb by 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled trash day, and the city holds a curbside bulk clean-up each spring and each autumn for residential sanitation customers. During those clean-up weeks everything has to be at the kerb by 7:00 a.m. and can go out a week early, the crews make a single pass down each street, and the flyers carry a strict list about bundling limbs, cutting flooring and stumps, and leaving concrete, construction material, hazardous liquids and dead animals out entirely. Refrigerated appliances are the one item the spring flyer singles out: a refrigerator, freezer or air conditioner is taken only when the Freon has been removed and a certification is on the unit. Through the rest of the year, residents can use the roll-off container at the public works yard on SW 59th, within the spring clean-up rules, after showing proof of residence and a current utility bill. Recycling is separate and optional, run with the Oklahoma Environmental Management Authority for a monthly charge on the utility bill.

The handoff matters
Mustang serves about 8,100 residential and commercial sanitation customers itself, with curbside collection once a week for residential customers and the poly cart at the kerb no later than 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled trash day. Garbage goes in containers, and the ordinance sets the yard material limits: limbs have to be bundled and tied at no more than three feet and 25 pounds and placed within two feet of the kerb, grass clippings go in plastic bags no larger than 30 gallons and 25 pounds each, and no more than five bags per residence are taken per pickup. Additional bags and other refuse run as special collections with prior arrangements, and those fees are set by resolution and added to the monthly utility bill.
City sanitation page with the weekly hauler service, the spring and fall bulk clean-ups, the year-round roll-off at public works and the ordinance rules for limb, clipping and bag limitsThe city runs a curbside bulk clean-up in March and another in October for residential sanitation customers. Items may go to the kerb a week early but must be in place by 7:00 a.m. on the assigned Saturday, and the crews make only one pass down each street, so a pile that is not ready is missed. Drivers will not carry debris from the house or wait while it is moved, poly carts are not collected, and a basketball goal or any personal property left at the kerb may be taken, with the city and OEMA not responsible. Brush, tree limbs, lumber, decking and fence panels have to be cut to four feet or less and bundled with rope or cord, flooring goes out in tied 4 by 4 bundles, stumps have to be cut to four feet by 12 inches, jacuzzis and pools have to be cut into 4 by 4 pieces, small material goes in containers, and empty cardboard boxes have to be broken down.

Loose debris, or anything placed next to a mailbox, fence, utility meter or other structure, is not collected at all, and debris that breaks the regulations is left behind without notice. Construction waste is the owner's responsibility for disposal whether a contractor or the household produced it.

Confirm it first with City Hall at 376-4521, because the city's published lists name the bulk clean-up weeks and the yard rather than furniture itself. The routes are the city's own bulk clean-up weeks, one in March and one in October, and the year-round roll-off for residents at the public works yard on SW 59th. The clean-up weeks are for residential sanitation customers, items go at the kerb no earlier than a week before the assigned Saturday and by 7:00 a.m. on the day, crews make one pass per street, and drivers do not help move debris or wait for it.Official guidance
Freon removal and a certification sticker. The spring clean-up flyer states that refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners are accepted only if the Freon has been properly removed and certification is on the unit, while the fall article and flyer simply say those units will be accepted. Because the two documents differ, confirm the requirement with City Hall at 376-4521 and set the unit out inside the clean-up window once the certification is attached.Official guidance
That has to be confirmed first. No retained Mustang page lists televisions as accepted or refused for the clean-up weeks or the roll-off container, and the curbside recycling fact sheet is limited to paper, metal, plastic and glass containers with a list of unacceptable items that does not mention electronics either. Call City Hall at 376-4521 before the set is moved.Official guidance
No. The city ordinance states that all construction waste, whether placed by a contractor or a resident, is the owner's responsibility for disposal, and the spring and fall clean-up regulations refuse construction and demolition materials as well as concrete, rocks and bricks. Dirt, rock and grass with clods are also banned from the poly carts, so a renovation load has to go to private disposal.Official guidance
The clean-up weeks run once in March and once in October for residential sanitation customers, with the load at the kerb no earlier than a week before the assigned Saturday and in place by 7:00 a.m., because the crews make a single pass and will not help move or wait for debris. The roll-off container at Public Works on SW 59th is open Monday to Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for residents who show proof of residence and a current utility bill, items have to meet the spring clean-up restrictions and go inside the container, and dumping on the ground is littering that risks a citation.Official guidance
The City of Mustang does, serving about 8,100 residential and commercial customers with curbside collection once a week for residential accounts and the poly cart at the kerb by 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled trash day. Sanitation questions go to City Hall at 376-4521, the utilities office is at 1501 N Mustang Rd. and answers 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday, and the after-hours emergency number is 376-2488.Official guidance
The city publishes the clean-up dates and rules but no separate fee, so the charge has to come from City Hall at 376-4521. The ordinance says special collections and pickups for additional bags and other refuse run with prior arrangements and fees set by resolution that are added to the resident's monthly utility bill, which is why the packet treats the clean-up and roll-off as confirm items rather than quoting a figure.Official guidance
Pieces of concrete, rocks and bricks are refused, along with construction and demolition material, hazardous liquid substances including batteries, paints, tires and oils, and dead animals. Loose debris, or anything placed next to a mailbox, fence, utility meter or other structure, is not picked up at all, poly carts are never collected, and debris that does not follow the regulations is left behind with no notice for the resident to deal with.Official guidance
It is an opt-in programme run with the Oklahoma Environmental Management Authority on a signed participation form that commits the household for at least one year and can be ended with thirty days notice. The published charge is added to the monthly City of Mustang utility bill, the programme needs a minimum of 500 households signed up to start and to continue, and it accepts paper, cardboard, cartons, junk mail, aluminium and steel cans, plastic bottles and glass bottles and jars, while refusing plastic bags of any kind, hazardous waste containers, clothing, foam and bubble wrap, windows, mirrors, ceramics, dishes, light bulbs, books, frozen food boxes, photographs, diapers, yard waste and food.Official guidance
