The local disposal guide
Yukon runs its own sanitation division, and the curbside program is built around the city cart rather than around loose piles. Two carts are included in the residential base charge, extra bags outside a cart are no longer collected, and anything large waits for one of the city's four curbside bulk pickup weeks in 2026. During a bulk week each household gets one free pickup on its normal trash day with a four cubic yard limit, and the acceptable list covers non freon appliances, furniture, mattresses and carpet, bundled limbs, bagged yard waste and cut fence panels. Refrigerators, air conditioners, televisions, monitors, batteries and tires are refused at the curb, but the city waives its transfer station fees for those items during bulk week, and the station takes them at 501 Ash Avenue the rest of the year for published per item charges. Household chemicals have no city program, and the city page points residents to the Oklahoma City collection center on South Portland Avenue.
