An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches

Bethlehem does not collect solid waste itself. The city code puts the duty on the property owner to contract with a private hauler, and the only city-published large-item rule is a bundle capped at three feet by three feet with prior Health Department approval.
City cost & eligibility
No city rate exists because collection is a private contract. Each hauler sets its own charge for a large item, so confirm the price and the preparation rules with the hauler that serves the property.
When & how
Call the hauler on the property's account to arrange the pickup and confirm the collection day. Solid waste collection runs Monday through Saturday between 5 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the south side and 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the north side.

Get it ready
Take the machine down as far as it will come apart, remove any console or battery pack, and keep loose weights with the frame so the load stays manageable.
Bethlehem puts both streams in the same window. Containers may not go out before 6 p.m. on the day before collection, and they have to be back within five feet of the building no later than 8 p.m. on the collection day. Solid waste containers must be rigid, leak proof and lidded, household waste must be bagged inside them, and a resident's own recycling container must be no larger than 30 gallons and marked recycling.
Recycling, leaves, yard waste and household garbage are four separate streams in Bethlehem. Yard waste and leaves are collected by the city, grass clippings have to be mulched into the yard rather than put out, the recycling containers take only the designated recyclables, and construction material or furniture put out with any of those streams can bring a violation. Anything that will not fit an approved container has to be bundled within three feet by three feet and approved by the City Department of Health first.

Only scrap metal that is at least 50 percent metal is accepted, no tanks or sealed vessels of any kind are taken, items have to be smaller than a five gallon bucket, and wet or soiled material is refused.
Self-haul in Bethlehem splits by material. Household trash, furniture, mattresses, the appliances the recycling center refuses, exercise equipment and renovation material all run through the private hauler the property owner is required to retain, because the city itself collects only recycling, leaves and yard waste. Scrap metals defined as anything at least 50 percent metal, including the large appliances the center lists as white goods such as washers, dryers, ovens and stoves, plus clear, green and brown glass, food-grade steel, tin, bimetallic and aluminium cans and empty aerosols, plastics numbered 1 through 7, newspapers, books, magazines, catalogs, corrugated cardboard and flatboard, mixed office paper, telephone directories and shredded paper. The site closes briefly each day from 2 to 2:30 p.m.
No tanks of any kind, including oxygen, propane, helium, welding and air compressor tanks, and no sealed vessels. Dishwashers, air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers and any appliance that uses a refrigerant are refused, along with mattresses and old furniture. No glassware, ceramics, porcelain, window pane glass or ornamental glass, no plastic bags, film or toys, no Styrofoam, and nothing wet or soiled. Items must be smaller than a five gallon bucket, and the site closes on the listed holidays and during extreme temperatures.
