Major appliances have two published drop-off routes in Lebanon. CSR-Brandywine on North 14th Street takes all appliances and charges for freon removal, and the county authority takes them at the landfill with the same freon charge added to the tipping fee.
City cost & eligibility
$15 for for each freon appliance handled at CSR-Brandywine, and the same figure the Greater Lebanon Refuse Authority adds to its tipping fee for a refrigerator, freezer, air conditioner or dehumidifier. Residents delivering an appliance themselves. The recycler's metals and other appliance material carry no published charge beyond the freon fee, and the authority route also needs a current residential licence.
When & how
Take the appliance to CSR-Brandywine at 328 North 14th Street, open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to noon, or to the authority landfill during its published gate hours with a licence.
Get it ready
Empty the appliance before it leaves the house, keep the doors secured or removed, and expect the freon to be handled by the receiving facility rather than removed in advance, because both the recycler and the authority apply their own freon charge at the gate.
Every customer using the Greater Lebanon Refuse Authority landfill needs a valid licence, issued at the scale house on a two year term. A residential cash customer licence requires current vehicle registration, proof of insurance and a valid driver's licence, and it does not include the tipping fees charged for the load.
The landfill's incoming gate closes at 3:50 p.m. on weekdays and 11:45 a.m. on Saturdays, and every vehicle has to be unloaded and off site by 4 p.m. on weekdays and noon on Saturdays. Open loads of garbage must be covered with a tarp before arrival.

From $41 for minimum charge up to 1,000 pounds at the waste disposal tipping fee, with 82 dollars per ton above that from January 1, 2026, plus a ten dollar residential licence for a two year term. Loads delivered by a customer holding a current authority licence. Open loads must be tarped, and special handling waste requires a pit to be dug and closed immediately after placement.

The authority's landfill takes construction and demolition debris, pre approved residual waste, clean wood excluding particleboard and plywood, and green waste under six inches in diameter, and it charges a tipping fee on top of a two year licence, which costs ten dollars for a residential cash customer and requires current vehicle registration, insurance and a driving licence. Its electronics recycling center on Russell Road takes covered devices free with no licence, five computers or televisions a day, and no help unloading. The authority also operates a recycling drop-off on Russell Road, while the city's own drop-off at 14th and Lehman Streets takes the mandatory recyclables, and Battery Warehouse on Schneider Drive takes lead acid batteries but refuses lithium. Appliances and scrap metal go to CSR-Brandywine on North 14th Street, which charges a freon fee per appliance, and tires are priced by size at the landfill or taken by the local service businesses the city lists. Yes. Add one Washing machine and one Dryer so both units are included in the price. They are separate items, even when you bought them as a set. If yours is a single combined unit or the machines still need to be unstacked, contact us before booking to confirm the scope.
Will you disconnect my appliance or carry it out?+

Can I book if the delivery company did not take my old appliance?+
Yes. Dropcurb pickup is separate from buying or installing a replacement, so you can book removal on its own. If your new delivery is still ahead, confirm the retailer’s haul-away arrangements before booking a separate pickup.

No. Removal of all trash and recycling has to be done by a licensed waste hauler, and the list of licensed haulers is kept at the Department of Public Works.
