Mattress collection is available in Buda for a fee, and the city states plainly that mattresses and box springs are charged a fee as well as being excluded from the free monthly landfill allowance.
City cost & eligibility
Both the city and the franchise holder state that mattress and box spring collection carries a fee without publishing an amount, and mattresses are expressly excluded from the free five cubic yard monthly landfill allowance. When & how
Ask TDS Customer Care for the mattress collection and the fee at 844-873-7734, then set the set out for the day the company gives you. The quarterly bulky pickup can be used for the same trip only after the mattress fee is arranged.
Get it ready
Keep the mattress and box spring dry and together, and do not put the set in the trash cart. Because the set is charged separately, sort it from the rest of the bulky pile so the crew can tell what is being billed.
Book the quarterly bulky collection and keep it inside three cubic yards
Buda households get one free bulky or large brush pickup each quarter, scheduled with Texas Disposal Systems customer care, and each collection is limited to three cubic yards of material. Bundles may not exceed four feet in length or 35 pounds. Mattresses and box springs carry a fee, extra collections carry a fee, and any appliance holding refrigerant needs a signed statement from a certified technician before it can be collected.
Residents may take up to five cubic yards of acceptable waste to the Creedmoor landfill each month at no cost, but the load has to be covered and the driver shows a City of Buda utility bill that reflects solid waste services at the gate. Mattresses and box springs are excluded from that allowance and are charged a fee, and restrictions may apply to the material.
