No charge. Round Rock households scheduling their free annual bulk pickup on an in-city water account. The free allowance covers one pickup of up to five cubic yards per calendar year, and a further pickup in the same year is priced by size.

On the bulk pickup day Republic Services sets after the call on 512-255-4980, rather than on the regular weekly collection.
Get it ready
Keep the mattress dry and place it neatly at the curb with the rest of the load by 7 a.m. on the pickup day. A household that would rather not wait for a bulk date can cut the mattress down as the city's own guidance describes, take it to the county landfill, or use a junk removal service, all of which the City's recycling center names.
One free bulk pickup a year, up to five cubic yards
Since January 2025 there is no spring cleanup week, and an in-city household may schedule one free bulk pickup in any calendar year by calling Republic Services on 512-255-4980 a week before its regular collection day. The load goes out by 7 a.m. on the day set and tops out at five cubic yards, with furniture, mattresses, scrap metal, trimmed lumber and non refrigerant appliances accepted, and refrigerant appliances, televisions, tires, paint, chemicals, brush and construction material refused.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

No charge. Round Rock residents whose water bill comes directly from the City, who may schedule one bulk pickup in each calendar year at no charge for up to five cubic yards. A household inside a municipal utility district asks its district about cleanup events, and additional pickups in the same year are priced by size.

You can choose an offered pickup day around your replacement delivery. First check whether the retailer already includes old-mattress removal, and arrange who will bring it outside if needed. What do I need to bring for household hazardous waste?+
A driver's licence and either a recent City of Round Rock water bill or a voucher, and the load has to respect the monthly volume limit.
