The local disposal guide
Colleyville contracts its residential garbage, recycling, bulky waste and brush collection to Community Waste Disposal. Trash is picked up twice a week from customer-owned cans, bags or boxes that weigh no more than fifty pounds when filled, and everything goes out by seven in the morning with three feet of separation between the containers and from obstacles. Bulky waste and loose brush ride the regular trash days too, and a household may set out four cubic yards of bulky waste and loose brush each collection, with tied and bundled brush allowed in unlimited quantity. A load over that limit, or a single item heavier than one hundred fifty pounds, needs a price quote from the hauler, and a cooling appliance cannot be collected at all until a certified technician confirms the refrigerant was removed. Household hazardous waste and used electronics, including televisions, are collected at the doorstep once a month as part of the regular monthly charge, and the City also runs a free annual Clean Sweep drop-off day where residents can bring bulk trash, electronics, tires and hazardous material in one trip.
